I flashed this ROM the other day and so far I'm liking it. Battery life seems a little weak but I'm gonna work with it a little more. Functionality seems good. Speed is good so far. I like the appearance of it. Voicemail app wasn't working like most of the others but it came preloaded with YouMail so I am using it and like it over the stock VM app so far. Easy to set up.

try the latest CM7 rom with the tiamat kernel for excellent battery life, more specifically the sony xplod roms :) they ROCK! :D

I like the speed of the rom but for some reason, this rom is the only rom that my wifi cuts ot. I try to download a large file or a different rom and wifi cuts out and then the download is unsuccessful:( Since the 3.5 roms do not have 4G, it's kind of necessary to have wifi working properly. Not sure why wifi cuts out though:confused:

I haven't had the WiFi issue. I've DL'd a few things and it's been steady. I noticed it does tend to shut off sometimes when the phone is resting and then comes back on shortly after waking it back up. Not sure if that's normal for Sense 3.5 Roms or not.

That's not normal for the other 3.5 roms, like I said for some reason this is the only rom I have trouble downloading large files while on wifi. And when I do try to download a large file, I keep the phone awake the whole time but I usually get to about 15-20% downloaded and then it cuts out. :(

But obviously, others don't have the same issue I have but I continue to check the newer releases out because the rom is nice otherwise:)

Do you have the WiFi sleep policy set to turn off when the screen goes off? That could be the problem.

The last Radiance I was on was 3.0. I thought it was very nice. It was quick for me and I had very good battery life while sleeping.

I think it's a great 3.5 rom. My issue was I wanted 4G since I was going to be moving some stuff and there is 4G where I am.

If you guys add him on facebook "zeroroms" he posts a couple times a day with updates on radiance/various .zip mods.

He posted today on facebook that he is completely skipping over radiance 6.0 and going into 6.1 with the sony bravia engine, so I can't wait for the next release.

6.1 is now out...links are posted on facebook...xda will be soon i'm sure...im getting ready to flash it now.

Heres the changelog;

FIXES:
-Stability: reboots "should" be gone.
-Smoother
-Faster
-Better graphics: forced 3D acceleration for smoother sharper images.
-Sony Bravia Engine: Better color and imaging all around. Turn up brightness and you will see!
-Libs: Updated some libs to newest OTA
-Adreno: again, forced 3D graphic acelleration and added chainfire 3D drivers
-Apps: removed a couple Sony widgets and updated current apps that needed it.
-LockScreen: Custom weather lock screen added.
-Extras: more clean up, and small optimizations.
-Build.prop tweaks: better scrolling, better video streaming, increased vmheap to 64mb, adjusted wifi scan to 180 for better battery.
-might be more. Just can't think of it.

I can't find them on FB if my life depended on it.

Nevermind! Found it. :)

I just flashed the new 6.1 last night. LOVE IT!! Better battery life, no reboots, just works better so far. And I figured out the WiFi thanks to MusicJunkie.

Found an article about wifi , it seems that certain routers are having issues with hardware . Belkin being the number one.

And so, this is the reason I'm having trouble :(

Thanks for the great rom, hopefully something gets figured out :)

Anyway to update the PRL and/or Profiles? Also lately I've been having issues with MMS messages and voicemail notifications taking hours to get to my phone. Is this my service or something in the ROM? It just started like a day ago. Thanks

No, there is no way to do that on any 3.5 sense roms at the moment, unless sprint updates a phone to sense 3.5 we wont ever have that option, for now you have to nandroid restore to a rom that has those options, then update prl/profile then restore to 3.5 rom.

But i've also had a couple of "text message not sent" popups..but they always send..so idk.

I've had friends or my wife send me a Picture Message and I don't receive it till almost 24 hours later. Regular texts seem to go thru fine.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen. My brother in law went to the Super Bowl and he was sending me pics, I'd get one, then the next one wouldn't come through, next one would, next one wouldn't. From what I've heard/read a common issue with all 3.5 roms is mms/data roaming/visual voicemail.

I love the crispness of 3.5, but sometimes I go back to a barebones rom or a 3.0 rom just to update my prl/profile. I think sprint is going to skip sense 3.5 though and just jump into ics.

I'm really liking radiance 6.1! It is smooth, efficient, and good battery life. The only thing that makes me think about flashing something else is the voicemail not working.
