Root random reboots

For some reason or another, I keep getting random reboots regardless of what rom I flash. Up until a week ago, I had been rocking MIUI for over a month before it started to reboot. I wiped data, cache, dalvik and used Superwipe and did a clean re-flash - as I was reinstalling my apps using Titanium Backup, it rebooted...aaaaargh!

The interesting thing about these reboots is that I could literally have 100% of my battery and, after a random reboot, I'm at 5%! WTF?

So, I've sinced flashed FEARMEde/Rhyme, same result. The rom will take but, eventually, it'll randomly reboot to 0-5% battery life - which sucks. I've also flashed Rainy Day 1.0, same thing. Eventually it'll reboot when I'm using it.

So, anybody got a solution for me? I would greatly appreciate it :D, thanks.

What recovery are you using?

ok sounds like a similar issue i had. i would get these random reboots. it turns out for me that it would be any time i would try and use a intensive app like gps or games. my battery would get super hot then reboot. it started out slow but then would get worse and worse. so i tried and flash various different roms and would get the same issue. i even updated my radios at the time and still same issue. i tried downgrading my pri to 1.77 as well with the same results. so my next step was to unroot my phone. and after unrooting i had the same problem so i took it in to sprint. they at first just did a factory reset. and after walking out of the store it rebooted. i then tried to make it reboot again by playing pandora on top of sprints navigation, google's navigation and it then rebooted again. so the tech just ordered me a refurbished phone.

so i hope that if you tried some of my suggestions in that long rant, you will get your phone working, if not then you may have to take it in.

Thing is, is that I can run my GPS, play games, open e-mails and play music fine - I can't seem to duplicate your results - my phone will simply reboot when it feels like it. Any other suggestions??

try a stock rom with nothing fancy and see if it happens again, then maybe try and unroot and see if you can it still reboots randomly then take it in.

also you may want to try and upgrade your radios if they are not already.

Well, I ran a stock rom overnight but, unfortunately, it just rebooted on its own. I guess I'll have to unroot (aaaargh) and see what happens. The funny thing is, is that as long as the phone is pluged into a power cord, i.e. charging, it does not reboot at all...perhaps it has something to do with the power source/battery???

I would say dirty contacts on the phone or battery. Or the battery could have a problem. If it was the phone i think it would do it while pluged in also.
