I'M KIDDING I'M KIDDING!!!!!! I couldn't resist! I come in peace:)

no worries about a draft...that's why it's called a "rough" draft...if it was all well written and organized...it would only mean that you didn't put enough thought into it...

edit and edit again, arrows pointing at other paragraphs, scribbles and notes in the margins, things crossed off, gibberish, things nobody can understand or follow ..now THATS the sign of an excellent paper in the works!!:D

I'll try. I have all the facts and writing potential. But have a very feint argument. And that is the main part of the research paper. To argue. And I'm barely doing that.

I shouda chose gay marriage. At least there's something that has an argument.

Nuclear weapons and psychology... No argument there.

so your argument is about the moral dilemma associated with the atomic bomb and that ultimately the positive economic impact of nuclear weapons and technology outweigh it's negative impact on the collective social phyche?

sounds like a very interesting topic to me!

*you know..economic gain is not the only positive you can use to back up your argument if that is indeed your argument...I wasn't sure...

What else is there? I know economic, and Japan's military was down or something , and their government changed. Its a weak, very weak argument. I'm only arguing 2 different. Completely different aspects of the war. My topics are different. Economics. Psychology.

Our first professor said this was a research paper. So that's what I thought it was. Research.

But noooooooo.

Its a research, argument, persuasive, oppositional essay. All I have is a weak essay and good research. I just hope its good enough for a C. Hopefully he'll take pity on me to just pass me. Otherwise. It'll screw up my GPA, and I'll have to take the class again. Losing financial aid, (which I may dump next semester as I don't agree with or abide by the requirements of government financial aid) and weeks of my life to pay for the class myself. All for a failure.

Note. Don't take professor kossy as all he does is live in the 60s and make pointless jokes of politics that nobody in the class gets.

Doing my essay... FML

I'm out at a sporting event but off the cuff.. It ended the war.. It opened nuclear weapons to regulation.. It brought about the knowledge used for advancements of new energy and technologies.. Etc.. From what u said about what the proff wants
It sounds like you should choose whether you believe dropping the bomb was ultimately worth it... Or not. Then back it up with your facts.. It's ok to say something like. Although the psychological and social aspects were devastating,
facts backing that up)
The risks and ultimate outcomes that arose from dropping the a bomb outweigh the social consequences
In fact
Most people who lived through ww2 thought it was the right thing to do (u s a that is) and they still do

Now c'mon, we have a Politics and Current Affairs forum. The atomic bomb was a hot topic in 1950. Don't make me create a half century old hot topic that we won't drop forum.:p

I'm just having a hard time finding arguments within psychology of the weapons. It would be easier if I was doing the ethics of the weapons... But the psychology of the survivors of the bombs??? Ya it's research, it's good research and needs to be better studied so psychologist can do more for psychology as it's still a really new science.

But it's not arguing anything. Psychology is not applied or argued... Science is rarely argued as it's usually proven as a fact before it's published....

Next time... I'm going with my gut... Go for something that people will think different about me. Like... is he... ? He may.. ? Whatever....

That is IF there is a next time... I hope there wont be. Just pass me... Please... Please :P

Done editing... I have 5 pages so far, and I want to get AT LEAST 8 pages. If I can write at LEAST 2-3 pages on the positive, I hope hope I have at least a C.

I think I said that.

I'm sure it was a hot topic back then. But I wasn't there sadly.

I'm young I guess...

Need sleep, Chemistry tomorrow, and then I have a LONG weekend ahead of me.

I called off work for this FINALS weekend. So, I have it all to write this essay, and to study some Chemistry.

But the essay is due monday, and the test for Chemistry is Thursday. So, ENGLISH IS more important now.

Full Time Student... Never going again. Too much work, no NO time for me to follow my interest. (Biking). Just constant WORRY, SCHOOL, aint going again.

Good night everyone. :)

I just took an arrow to the knee in Defence Zone II, two of the bugger's got through on the last wave 😬↙

Ergh! If you had mentioned that earlier (or had I been online yesterday)...

There is plenty of psychology to go with the bombing.

The dropping of the two bombs on Japan quickly ended the war. The absolute devastation sent a message to the world that the US was a force to be reckoned with and put the fear of the Yanks into the thought processes of many, if not most governments.

And like the firebombing of Dresden did to Germany, it pushed the Japanese people into a more pacifist state of mind.

Additionally, the Japanese, seeing that technology was the American trump-card, pursued a different means of winning an economic niche in the world-- they are now competitors and peers in the world markets when it comes to electronics and automobile manufacturing.

I agree, one great thing that came out of the bombing was that the US helped with the economy.

David Rothauser, someone who I interviewed for this essay mentioned the previous bombing in London and the firebombing..
