Mike.....you're killing me. One of the biggest things I miss about the Philippines is the abundance of street vendors selling shady food.

Fortunately I've not come across pagpag yet, well not in the places I've been so far. I rather missed them all when I was in the UK during the summer. They're mostly seen near schools, during lunchtimes, rather like flies around a turd.
