Forgive ignorance, and not snotty, genuinely curious; If the game does appeal to you, why does it wait until arrive (home?)? Assume game simply not present in China, yes?
Enjoy time with Father!

Rock 'n Roll / "race" music. (That'll go over like a Led Zeppelin)

Ridiculous body modifications to worthless used cars that contribute nothing to speed, only for show. (Idiot kids, chopping the tops on their 1932 Ford 3-window coupes....what's the point there?)

This "personal computer" fad.....(Seriously, how many recipes could one woman have, anyway?)....Kidding, settle down...But was one of the "appeals" made to consumers in early marketing of the devices. Don't get me started on this "interwebs" thing the kids are all excited about....

Childhood Polio vaccinations.

Democracy in America.

It's not present in China. May not be too popular anyway, things like anti-Japanese resentment etc. Nintendo's original consoles were banned as well, along with Playstations and Xboxs. Although by October, the Pokémon Go fad will probably be done and finished with.

Last year's fad of cheapo hoverboards from China, that sometimes explode, that didn't appeal to me, not one bit. Being in China, I was one of the first persons on AF to become aware of the selfie stick.

Definitely looking forward to seeing father again. :)

I want to know more about this 'cattery'. Is it someplace one can send inconvenient cats to go to waste the remainder of their lives away trying to find Dog?

Cincinnati Zoo, hmm, Jinan Zoo is a bit nearer.

More of a problem with supply and demand... I demand ice from the fridge, and it refuses to supply it.

Or, it does, but supplies the ice on the cooling coils, making the fridge hot.

It takes ten days for the repair guy to get out here, they never have the part in stock, and the part is so much in demand (due in part to crappy engineering), that they can't supply a replacement in less than a month.

Combine that with scheduling issues, parts getting broken in the supply chain, etc...

It's just not cool.

So, I was reading this article, and had an interesting thought:

Say you live on a totally-locked planet, where one side always faced the sun.

There is a strip of habitable land that girds the planet in the permanent dusk/dawn region.

What is the weather like? What kind of seasonal variations might there be, due to orbital dynamics and axial tilt?

Could you generate power by exploiting the ultra-hot dayside and ultra-cold nightside?

Is it possible for such a planet to have an atmosphere?
