It's too gruesome to finish. I was about 13 years old when this happened. Hadn't even heard of Rolling Stone Magazine. Hell's Angels meant Marlon Brando to me. You'd think as a security force they'd do better than the dirty, smelly, hippies like at Woodstock.
I thought the hippies died out in 1970 but it turns out they were murdered by their icons.

So .... The Zodiac Killer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_Killer ) had a symbol, a costume with the symbol on the chest, sent taunting letters to the police with codes, and committed crimes with a theme. The Zodiac Killer was actively trying to be a comic book super villain. (My guess is The Riddler was a huge influence. ) Just say'n.
I blame the Beatniks.
That dude at the Chicago World's Fair/Exposition was a way creepier serial killer. He had a hotel/rooming house all set up for murder.
