Yay for soon-to-be-clean carpet! :D :congrats: Boo for how long it takes and how disruptive it is while they're here. :( My poor cats are sulking in my bedroom with the door shut...

No, just having the carpet cleaned. I've been putting it off for months--I had a hard time parting with the stains in my mom's room...the very stains that I used to get so aggravated about, because she LIKED spilling her drinks and watching my reaction. But, see, after someone dies, things take on deeper meaning. *sigh* I finally bit the bullet because I'm having company over for lunch Sunday and decided it was time.

Our cat fell out our 3rd story window tonight. I know it sounds funny lol but shes really hurt herself :(
Its only 5am and im staying awake with her until the vet opens at 9.
My guess is shes broke her hip or pelvis. Feel so helpless. Ma heart is bleeding for her...
I didn't know about this until now. I've caught up on all the posts and see that she's doing okay. What a relief. Poor little thing. Keep us posted on her progress, please!

Here's some interesting info regarding cats and high falls.

http://sciencebasedlife.wordpress.com/2012/04/13/how-do-cats-survive-falls-from-great-heights/

apparently 3 stories was quite timid compared to some recorded falls...

In a 1987 study of 132 cats brought to a New York City emergency veterinary clinic after falls from high-rise buildings, 90% of treated cats survived and only 37% needed emergency treatment to keep them alive. One that fell 32 stories onto concrete suffered only a chipped tooth and a collapsed lung and was released after 48 hours.

People get weird about a twin absorbing another twin in the womb but that's really the only acceptable place to do it.

The new tap stuff has me all messed up so you guys have to bare with me

Or don't...whatever

U are right if its gonna happen should be early on and....like that

It's sill... Sad and disturbing IMP

I tell you what,

Enjoy.

Revel.

Do things you will be proud of for the rest of your life.

Like working my abut of to get my degree in engineering, including taking an extra year of college to achieve a 2 year degree. I'm a bit annoyed by that, but this is what I want, so if it means another year, I'll do it.

Don't take your eyes off that prize my friend. But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about everything else.

Work hard for your dreams. But work just as hard, if not harder on the spaces in between. That is what you'll remember.

You'll enjoy the rewards of the hard work you do for school, but you get to, and have to live with the rest.

All I'm saying, is be proud of what you do. Always. You won't be sorry.

Seems like a no brainer, but it doesn't take no brains to miss it.

End ramblings of an aging fool.
