Random Thought Thread

So I went to the DMV today. I was there to change my address and I got bored, so I was reading their vision test. I'd originally failed and had a restriction right? Suddenly I could read them all! So restriction is removed.

Lesson: Drink lots of caffeine and be tweaking before you take an eye test!

Wonder what will happen to the nexus brand

They will probably discontinue it. I wouldn't be that surprised, but it happened so soon. I am beginning to think I have too many devices because now that I have 7 computers I can't make use of them all. My old Nexus is just sitting on the charger all day computing for our Boinc Team.

Is it possible we could convince Mother Nature to disregard the prognostication of the vermin predicting 6 more weeks of misery? Today I called my favorite local radio station to request they play Joe Nichols' "Sunny and 75". If all AFers did the same, maybe the positive thought would cause a mind over matter type change.

Let's give it a try!

For those not familiar with the song, there is a copy on You Tube.

How does one handle Tianjin with a hangover? Too much drinking in Beijing.

I saw a corpse yesterday. 1 hour standing in line to see 5 seconds of Mao Zedong's body.

How so? Is the Nexus brand going to come to those other countries in the future?

Because Google is an ad company and they'll be wanting to be building their brand and presence in many emerging markets, some of which they're currently banned, e.g. China. "Don't be evil." is history. The largest Android market in the world, and Google is almost unknown, but they're already doing very well thanks to Admob and DoubleClick.

They start doing some Nexus phones in China etc. partnered with say Lenovo and China Mobile, who does their manufacturing. and of course they sold Motorola to.

Well this is good. Why does China think Google is evil? Is that because they bought Motorola? And their a big company?
