Rant about the 4th key (search button) on EVO

Thanks, I was agreeing with the OP until i read yours, did not know about the hold search function to bring up voice search, was actually wanting that functionality. Glad it uses google too, IDK why, many times when i used search it took me to Wikipedia instead of using the internet to search.

The basic functionality to disable the search button apparently already exists (for rooted users).... Click Here

Now we just need someone to make a utility that does this for the rest of us (non-rooted users)...

Also, here is a thread on a different forum about the same issue - maybe someone on that thread will come up with a solution...?
 
Great button. Use it all the time. When? When I need to search.. :D I think they call it the search key for a reason.
