Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Text messages are another of my favourite inventions lol. In my single days they were a god-send to me. I can flirt much better with my thumbs than my mouth (ahem lol) and im a VERY fast texter :)

And my dad!! I hate being in a room alone with him and i hate when i ring my mum and he answers lol... painful awkwardness :)

Im gona extend this rant to cover small talk lol. Like when you meet someone you kinda know that isnt a friend on the train and you both feel the need to chat throughout the journey when if you were both honest, youd rather just put your headphones on and ignore each other lol..... humans! :D

Years of practice bud :) it freaks my friends out coz my thumbs move so fast. I dont even look at my thumbs, im looking at what im writing :)
im too old to learn qwerty lol :beer:
 
Mozilla for some odd reason isn't allowing me to go to AF. Keeps telling me the URL cannot be found or is,not available, yet I'm logged in on my phone ok. I cleared the cache and still can't get on. :grr:

Site was hanging up all over yesterday afternoon. I managed with Pale Moon, but it took forever. I wonder why?

Indeed, funkylogik... I definitely consider it a problem here!! It's all about company competition, I 'spose... who can get the best smartphone to attract the most customers and lure them away from the competition... but it sucks for us consumers. :(

And I can't believe you just made a reference to Ramadan... nice!!!! I grew up in Saudi Arabia, and I'm homesick for anything Middle Eastern... because I surely won't be hearing any Ramadan references around here... god I miss living overseas. *practically weeping*

People who don't understand why anyone would want to learn a language other than their native language(s), and are just absolute jackasses about it. Why do these people care that other people are interested in learning something new and different??? Pathetic.

There are way too many people running their mouths constantly about lifestyle choices other people make... GET A LIFE, PEOPLE. Don't like something? Excluding taxes, death, etc, there is an easy fix: Simply choose not to be around that person/place/thing you don't like. The End. It's not rocket science.

Someone CAN run around griping about every single thing consenting adults do that they don't like/agree with... you CAN do whatever you want... but be aware that you'll sound like an ass if you talk like an ass.
 
I'm with TMOUS, and have never had a problem with any phone I've bought -European from Amazon, used, Ebay. I know enough not to complain about bandwidth with a nonTMO sanctioned phone, so they never hassled me about it.

I simply don't like the current offerings from any carrier, nor the crap they usually have the maker install.
 
A lot of people are very jingoist - their way is the only way. I live in a town full of the suckers.

I've always been interested in other ways of life. I usually only get annoyed on the nature end - like there's nothing wrong with throwing your trash out the car window. Right now, we only have on habitable planet. Learn to take care of it.
 
Lol i live in quite a multicultural town and although i was raised as a catholic, im athiest, but i have respect for certain parts of most religeons and for the past 2 years ive done the last week of Ramadan. I might actually start a thread on here a week before Eid is estimated (in Saudi) and see if anyone will join me. I know its really weak only doing a week but hey, im not going to heaven anyway lol :):beer:

That's a special kinda stoopid ..

Don't they know that the vast majority of humanity is at least bi-lingual and very often multi-lingual? My missus speaks three languages fluently and can get by in a couple more. I'm actually really ashamed that I'm so pathetically mono lingual.

One store posted a holiday sign around Christmas. The usual Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah and they added one for the Muslim New year. The locals had a freaking FIT! Protests outside the store, letters to the editor, everything except a physical attack.
 
Those people that talk so loud on their phone in public so that everyone around them can hear what they are talking about.

Lol i worked with this old dude who shouted down his work mobile so the whole construction site would look round it was embarassing man :D think he was from the days where u had to shout down phones. I just pityd the person on the other end :)

I tend to chime in on those conversations. Only hearing one half of it makes for a really interesting time too. Usually the person being so loud starts talking much softer after I start. :D
