Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Ah right so some manufacturers lock them but make it easy for us to unlock them but the carriers make it harder?
Every day i spend on this forum i hate the carriers more lol :banghead:
Agreed they have WAY too much power. More competition needed

All the manufacturers lock them. The Nexus is locked. Then often provide a means to unlock - unless the carrier has forced a deal to disallow it for their customers.

Easy to enforce. We don't use a standardized set of radio frequencies. So our models are largely carrier-specific. If you're on Verizon or AT&T, then you have to hope for an exploit.

Right. So for example, my non carrier-locked s3 had a locked bootloader but the CF Autoroot program unlocked it as part of the rooting process?

Can't stand people posting ads on Craigslist, then not responding to inquiries/offers/plain old requests for info, etc.
Especially when they specifically state "I'll respond right away, and meet anywhere in the metro"
Almost 2 days after attempting to contact 5 different sellers, not one has replied.

After you get a lot of replies wanting the item for free, you do stop responding. I'd like to tell one of the freebie wanters OK, have them come over, and then smash the item in front of them.

Lmao id love to see that
Or... when they come over... just take their car for free. And their watch, and phone

Trying to adjust convergence on a CRT while wearing corrective glasses.

I have a slight astigmatism, so my glasses are mildly prismatic.

I don't want their watch, car or phone. I've put a fair price on an item, I expect a little haggling, but demanding it for free is too much.

People here swipe stuff put out for Good Will, Salvation Army, DAV. I watched and have pictures of a fairly well to do retired man swiping gas cans from a neighbor's yard. The cans were right up by the garage door behind a construction skip.

Another thing that grinds my gears is the gaming choices on Mac, its either a good game that's big or a port to a smaller but more fun one. I can't boot camp ok have no disk :(
