Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

ha! all that says to me is...you must be a good father:)

No, I am slightly more successful than my own parents were. I am stricter, but I get overridden by my wife, who babies them overly much.

Are there any songs in the Billboard hot 100 chart that don't have blatant Auto-Tune on them? Really is it that finding new singers that can sing in-tune without electronic pitch correction a lost art for the RIAA and record companies?

I blame Madonna.

I was listening to some of the current "Billboard" songs on Baidu Music earlier this afternoon. I know what Auto-Tune can sound like when taken to extremes, e.g. Believe - Cher. It seemed like every song had that distinctly electronic sound to the vocals, and most of the artists I didn't recognise. I know Madonna though...LOL. ...also many artists that are performing supposedly "live" now, looks like they're miming to a recording.

I honestly can't decide.

That's what makes it so exciting!
All 4 teams currently in it have the potential to go on and win it!

Yes very true! I am going for Brazil but I don't know how they will do against Germany since they lost Silva!

It really grinds my gears that Germany, Brasil and Argentina really think they have a chance :D

What he is really hurt that bad? All bad! Kaat you never really know! I know all the games will be good tho and I am very eager to watch them already!

We were supposed to get rain all week, but other than a little bit on Sunday, not a drop. It did become humid though :(

Office politics. Why can't people just be honest and say what they mean? Why are humans such snakes? Damn egos...

A colleague of mine has always helped this one "manager" with various projects and such, which he had no responsibility to do, but does anyway because he's a nice guy and a team player... Turns out this "manager" can't stand my colleague and continuously talks crap behind his back to make him look bad, asking him a million questions until he finds one my colleague may not know so he can run directly to the VP to talk about how my colleague doesn't know this or that...needless to say my colleague now wants to kill him...man some people suck..

Some people suck and they will get what's coming to them
But in the scheme of things 99.99 percent of people are pretty much good.. Ok make that 98.7 :)

Having problems, Huh?

I'd say it's a lower proportion of non-sucky in this town, not to mention stupidity. Saw an idiot on a Harley, no helmet, no safety gear, talking on his cell phone while riding. He wasn't using Bluetooth, either. He had the phone cradled between ear and shoulder.

The Vulcan is still shaking his head. (I haven't killed him yet)

Just as well there's a refund button... As long as you're in time.

Oh I'm used to seeing things like that, but not Harleys though, and not in HK.

You probably see tons of Honda TMX's.

They were everywhere in the Philippines, and I assume it's safe to believe they are in China too.

Something very similar I think, heck of a lot of CB125 lookalike bikes as well. There's a lot of Chinese brands of motorbikes. Think most of them have just copied Honda or Suzuki. 250cc is generally the biggest that many people ride. Motor-tricycles are popular as well, usually as small delivery trucks or unofficial taxis. Many are not licensed at all, although the police have been clamping down on that in the cities recently.

Electric scooters are extremely popular as well in cities, because they don't need a license, some of them quite large and fast, and have an extremely high accident rate. Although interestingly enough, absolutely no electric bikes or scooters in HK, can't even buy them here. Plenty of motorbikes in HK, but at least here everyone wears a helmet and is licensed, and if you don't, police will stop and book you.
