Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Guess who decided not to come into work today.

I swear, the SM needs to fire her. I do not want to manage this store, I'll put in a transfer before I become a manager.

The transition to a new forum engine could have gone better... There is an admin notification system in place... why no warning?

It was announced in red, in top of the page since last Tuesday, if i recall right.
Sorry if it caused you any trouble, but it was a necessary move.

I saw nothing. Then again, I never go to the main page, preferring to operate out of the user control panel.

Or tapatalk, which isn't perfect, but at least helps keep me in the loop... normally.

My manager. Oh, I just wanted to walk out of the store today. I was trying to put tcoffee creamer machine today, and I asked her:
"He Surely, how do you put this together?"
"Look at the other one." she said.
I not knowing what she meant asked. "What other one?"
"Don't give me Sas, look at this one and figure it out."

I just wanted to say.
"You're so disrespectful to us crew, I'm leaving. Good bye."

I don't know what I'm gunna do. I now hate going to work because most of the managers I work with just end up ruining my day. I remember when Boon worked there. I would be happy to come into work. Everybody was. I remember one customer talking with Boon, saying
"Every time you are working everybody seems so happy, and when you are not, everybody seems stressed and unhappy." Thats because we are.

Reminds me of when I was working at Dairy Queen. "You can go home, you're the least useful person here."
And you know what? Screw that.
I can tell you're really smart.

Stick with Mc Donalds but go to something else. Take it from me.

When I quit at Dairy Queen I was so depressed because I didn't know what to do. When I finally went to work with A-Trinity I felt way better. Like I was actually working at a better job. Then I move to south east Georgia with nothing but my clothes and pregnant wife in our tiny car with everything we owned. I got a job with UCP in less than a month (United Cerebral Palsy)

Now I got a 40 hour a week job on the weekend and 5 days to go to school or just chill, whatever I want to do.

I'm not trying to badger you or tell you that you should or should not to do something, but what I am saying is you're way better than that place and especially that manager.

I really hope everything gets better for you because I've been there, and it sucks.

I've tried looking into other jobs, but I guess i cant do sales. I guess im not the talkitive type to sell you something, and yeah ill agree with that. I been thinking i could possibly get a job with geek squad, fixing peoples computers or something. That i know how to do. Fixed and built many computers and am even or was sponsored by AMD to review a computer.

Thats more than I can say for myself. What systems do you know how to fix?
I heard IBM is hiring alot of people even ones without computer science degrees. Might be worth looking into.

Hey I'm not quite sure how old you are, or how much you need to make? But my p/t job is at a grocery store - there are cashiers, people who bag groceries & take them out to the customers cars (mostly high school kids), and of course there are people who work in the Deli, Bakery, stocking shelves, etc. You don't need to limit yourself to fast food or sales. At least at my store, the managers are awesome & everyone is treated well.

It was buggy and slow after seven years in vBulletin. Many members wished for a site which was better accessible via mobile devices. Our squirrels got lost in the vBulletin forest.

I hate that I live above the Portal of Hell. I just woke up (going back to bed, I was up late & there's no reason to get up at 6am on the weekend!) and I thought "wow it seems a bit warm in here" so I looked at the temp in my room - it's 73 degrees. In the winter. In MN. With my thermostat OFF, my window open & a fan on. :(

White, white, white... why must it always be freakin' white?

It's 0444 in the morning, I am dark-adapted, I get to drive to work in the darkness and the fog in just a little while, and the new forum design is even whiter than the old one.

When will the internet figure out that there are other effective color schemes than bright white backgrounds and black lettering?

Good morning Dngrsone :)

Hey, Babe. Good Afternoon to you. Mornings are rarely good. I'm usually grumpy as all hell.

... well, that's most of the day, I guess; but I'm even grumpier in the times between waking and 1000.

I hate white any time of day, though. :p
