Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Knowing on how slow my battery is charging up, with the turbo charger in mind, sometimes it takes me around up to now a half an hour for it to be at 70% to around 80! Between oh about a half hour though, and knowing the regular used to be around oh fifteen minutes... So could that mean my cell is dying slowly?

The Govt is going to ban TikTok on all Govt phones. Good! any other none govt related business should also be banned. Govt employees should be told,"the phone is to be used for only govt related business, nothing else - period".

Over the years I would get a contractor owned phone. I would only use the phone for contractor related business. Nothing else.

This is how you can tell if a company is too big.

So I wrote an email to a company about their product. I got this response:

.....To make up for this inconvenience, we have sent you some coupons to use on your next purchase of our products. You should receive them within 10-14 business days....

If it takes 10-14 for them to send out a frigging coupon, they are too big.

Again the real reason why I was hung over yesterday was my sister, just upset with me on the bloody cell of having a party, that I do not have much time for much fun these days, over to see my cousins place.. I am already in deep slumber mentally, and please do not add in higher things that no one can control over no matter what either.. I am already too tired to begin with having a few dozen hours of drinking and not being able to sleep much lately.

All the lighting in my house is LED. All the LED bulbs and fixtures said they have a 15 year life span under normal use. A lot of these bulbs and fixtures only lasted 3 to 5 years.

Define normal...

Glad you mentioned that. I just replaced a LED Bulbs above my kitchen table and kept the box due to an extra bulb.

These 60w bulbs don't say 15 years, they say 13 years, 15,000 hours, so if my math is correct that would be 3.16 hours per day.

The first bulb went out after two years, and this last bulb went out at 3 years. I would say these bulbs are on approximately 6 hours per day.

The first LED bulb I purchased was quite expensive. I bought it when they were first introduced and lights my office. It sees daily use for many hours. After being satisfied it was a good investment I replaced most all of the lighting in the house with LEDs. They had come down in price substantially which made them even more attractive. I have replaced most of those second bulb investments at least once yet the original bulb in my office is still functional. I question that perhaps the cheaper bulbs are designed to fail. Albeit they do consume less energy and near zero heat, I'd like them to last like my first LED bulb.

It's like a toss up how long these LED bulbs or fixtures will last.

One bulb in the fixture above my kitchen table has lasted 5 years, two haven't

3 out 4 bulbs on my track lighting lasted less than a year.

Two flood lights on the outside of my house have lasted 5 years and they are on every night

My kitchen fixture with built in lights just started to slightly flicked for the first 2 minutes when I turn it on. It was a $70 fixture from Menards and is 5 years old.

The positive side is these LED bulbs did reduce my electrical bill

We have an extremely large over population of Canadian Geese. They take a couple of steps and poop, then a couple more steps and poop and make a mess especially on sidewalks. Our City tried, I think they caused it egg shaking to stop the egg from hatching, but that hasn't helped. I'm tired of Canadian Geese.

Years ago my granddaughter's 1st grade teacher had to tell my daughter a funny story that happened in her class. She had asked the students "what is in your yard that is green and you walk on it". My little granddaughter immediately raised her hand and said I know I know. The teacher acknowledged Allie and said... okay what is it.
And Allie said goose poop. :)

Still keep on wondering about my DVD theory though, still.. I am just wondering about the DVD's laying ontop of surfaces that cause it to cut more, but could of sworn my old compact discs were scratched up... when in the portable player, even though they where in ziplock bags..

I wish LED bulbs didn't give me insane migraines and make everything look all bluish white. I'm far more fond of the warmer glow of incandescent bulbs, and the type of bulb I've used has had no real effect on my bill (which is far more impacted by large appliances) but also that warm glow helps me get ready for bed easier, and goes best with the vintage interior I've been putting into my home. I am also extremely photosensitive, so anything that's not the comforting orange glow of an incandescent or sodium vapor bulb causes me actual pain. I've had to drive at night wearing two sets of glasses on top of each other: one to block 50% of the light from the overly blue new streetlights and headlights everywhere today, and another to cast everything into a yellow glow so I can at least feel like I'm driving in Mayberry in the 1960s again.

Don't get me started on how I feel about LED headlights:

This topic seems to spanning threads, so I'll have to multipost this. Attack the issues, not each other. Differences of opinion do not make one right or wrong. ;) :)
No kidding, sorry that I was writing that a few minutes ago, sometimes I just do not dimmished the problem and have something so stupid like this.

When a business gets upset with me for getting competitive pricing. They act like I wasted their time. You should always get competitive pricing on any major purchase.

Here's a perfect example. My air conditioner started making a crazy noise. 1st contractor gave me a bid of $4K. 2nd contractor gave me a bid of $3K. 3rd and 4th contractor gave me a bid of $2.5K. 3rd and 4th contractors have been around for a long time and had excellent reviews no matter where i checked.

When you downloaded an aweful launcher and just realising it was just a fluke. A great imagine against what, I am glad I switched over to Nova.
So far so good no crashes.
