Great example of the worst:
In a huge long line at the Petsmart, literally one checkout open out of four (why build four? that's like three jobs you can hire! And everyone complains about not having enough jobs.) and more than 20 minutes in, as I approach the checkout lane finally, they then open the second. Wow. That would have been super convenient like 15 minutes ago! They ALWAYS wait until I'm finally at the counter and open the other one, instead of just opening it before the line is out the door.
This same anomaly also happens at Kroger, Walmart, anywhere. They always open the second lane the instant I've finally waited and arrived at the counter. Heck, why does Walmart build 18 of the damned things and only use 4 of them? That's another 14 jobs they can open! Seems it'd make sense if you build 18 or 4, to use them all!
Our Kmart would always have their 3 open anytime. I miss Kmart so much. It really seems backwards that Walmart somehow is the survivor despite all their ethical issues and employee treatment while the better Kmart dies off.
