Lately google voice has been laggy in my smsing.. I've got weak signal at home but have a strong wifi connextion that my droidn connects to, should I just bite the bullet and pay the extra 15 orn is there something I can do?

If you have a bad signal it'll probably be just as bad because Verizon's SMS can't go through Wi-Fi. I'd stay with GV, personally.
 
That's what I was trying to determine..It just seems lately, even before I put any 2.2 roms on my phone I had to hit refresh more then I seem to recall. Any other thoughts?
 
It's terrible, don't get one. It lets anyone in the vicinity use the device (and therefore, your bandwidth) to make phone calls.
