:) Yes, I learned enough to make it happen, and if something goes wrong, than I will learn enough to fix it. And Yes, I got bored with my Droid's native stock, and I'm sure I will get bored with this Update (that is a given) we are never fully satisfied, thats just our nature.

Now what you see (obviously through tainted glasses, that are covered with far to much pride in yourself for having learned something that anyone on these boards can before some of us.) is flawed. I work overnight and my position gives me the luxury of READING all night, logging into and participating in sooo many mobile sites, that this one is just another click of the mouse. And like yourself I too may get 3-4 hours of sleep during the course of the day, and than guess what its back to READING whats the latest in the Tech world.

"Visual Learners" how did you learn your little bit of knowledge in Rooting, oh yea, you may have SAW something and READ it - Visual Learners, not that different is it.

I don't know where to start...First off, I'm trying to understand what point you are making. You have an issue with me because I think that people SHOULD understand what they are doing? I'm not saying that I'm not willing to help them learn but I am saying that if you don't know what your doing, you could screw things up and cost yourself time and/or money...wow, I'm such a jerk! Too full of pride??? Over customizing a phone? Seriously? How bored do you think I am?

I'm not saying that I'm a genius because I can follow directions. Took me quite some time to research everything I needed to do root, install ROMS, etc. cause I too was bored with my Droid as well and I wanted to make it better. Did everything I tried work like I thought it would?...no, but I learned along the way and now that I have a pretty good understanding of the OS and what you can do with it, I am here on a forum trying to help someone else so they can have a phone that is as cool and useful as I know it to be. Isn't that the point of the forum?

Maybe you are cool with making changes to your OS without the slightest clue as to what you are ACTUALLY doing but for anyone else that reads this, do yourself a favor and spend the extra time to understand what you are doing unless you can throw your phone away and go buy another one. Is that an extreme case...maybe but it could happen.

And I don't know if you know what a visual learner is. SEEING a post on a forum is not the same thing as "being SHOWN how to do something. Visual Learners need to be shown...doesn't make them stupid or anything. Again...I'm not sure what your point there is.

Bottom line...I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANYONE SCREW UP THEIR PHONE! If a YouTube video would help that and I am willing to make it...what is your issue with that?

This thread is in danger of moving into personal territory, so I believe it's time to wind it up.

I think forum policy is clear.... anyone asking questions or requesting info should be answered courteously or not at all. Nobody should be demeaned for a lack of experience.

I'm sorry that it is felt that "those that are familiar with the OS look at us as though we were less than." Imho this is just plain wrong, as there are literally thousands of posts in the various "All Things Root" sub-forums helping people. However, it shows that there's a perception to the contrary, and that is something that we all need to address.
