Root recomendations on setcpu profiles with mikg 2.57?

Anybody out there would like to share there setting on setcpu. I currently have mikg 2.57 and need you experts advice on profiles? I want performance and battery life.

Probably depends on kernels. Some governors do not need screen off profiles, but others do (smartass and another one that I don't ever use (lets face it, having your phone say "smartass" is just fun)).

I think the phone is defaulting to about 998, so if you wanna underclock anywhere from 512 - 766 for way underclock (top) and a min of 128/254 is fine.

Try some out (don't set to "Start on Boot" or whatever the wording they use is), and see what works best for your combo.

If you are trying to overclock, usually most people get around 1100 or so.

And if you are using a screen off profile, usually 128/128 or 128/254 is good.

I don't keep up too well with these lastest roms, and I don't know how far the new sense kernels have gotten - so that'll determine if you need a screen off or not.

really most of it is going to be experimental. do you have the stock kernel that came with mikg or are you using a custom kernel? as far as profiles go just start making them and see what works. If your looking for longer battery life then you will want to be on the conservative side. If you want performance then battery life will suffer.

You really have to try out the frequencies for yourself.
Try out a few of the freedom kernels first. Find one that works with your phone nicely.
After you get the kernel worked out, then move on to setcpu.
My phone will not run interactive x. Also my phone does not like the 128 min on screen off, won't wake up for phone calls. I have to use 230 what ever to 340 what ever. Still get good battery drain on screen off with the higher frequencies.
Just play around with the settings, and make sure when you test your screen off profiles, let the phone sit for a few minutes. It takes a little bit for the phone to rev down, so you may get false results for wake up if you open it too quick. ;)

My current setup is

Agressive Freedom Kernel
Smartass scaling

Max: 1113MHz
Min: 128Mhz

Screen Off:
Max: 422
Min : 128
Priority: <50
Phone usually sits between 128 and 250 though, but i like it to have the extra ability for no lag with answering phone calls & waking

In Call:
Max: 691
Min: 128
Priority: >50

I was having problems with calls dropping (screen shuts off during call) and this seems to fix it.

What issues does your phone have with InteractiveX?

It does not work well. Very jagged screen transitions, laggs like crazy. Once I switch back to smartass or on demand, smooth as butter. I might try another kernal then give it another go.

What is "set on boot" mean?

what happens is if you set you overclock your phone too high, your phone will become very unstable and it could reboot. the problem is if you have it to set on boot then you most likely will get a bootloop that is a pain the ass to get out of. so when granite says not to use it that is very true. the only time you can set it to set on boot is when you know that your phone can overclock at a certain setting and be stable. for me if i go over 1190 like 1228 or higher my phone just freaks out. so i keep it set on boot at 1190 any higher and i will get a reboot.
