Root recommended launcher/locker?

ok, here's a really non standard suggestion...
THE smallest, fastest launcher available is Lightning Launcher. I've been playing with it lately. Less than 60Kb download, and uses much less memory than even zeam. It uses a separately downloaded app to configure, so it's not part of the main launcher while in use.
It's really different so you may not like it, but you can do stuff like rotate widgets to odd angles, and use any icon our name for any app. amazingly small and fast.

I also use Wave Launcher that mancow turned me on to. you can instantly bring up its launcher or recently used app on top of any screen or running app.

These two make a really small fast combination.

Probably not for everyone though.

I don't lock my phone, just certain apps, like email, photos, and stuff that messes with system settings. to do this I use Visidon app lock. Uses front camera for face recognition, so CM9 is out.
you can use it in lock screen mode too. has a pin for low light situations, but it's fast once you train it correctly.

That's my current configuration and I'm digging it

Holo launcher\locker here.
same here go launcher pro and ADW are a bit to big for me but idk thats just me holo is super lite 1.75mb and if you going to do holo launcher and locker then just go all the way and do the Ultimate ICS theme that is what i got running and its smooth and looks nice heres the link if you interested(it only works on cm7 btw)

I went with your idea of lightning launcher, and boy is it different! How can i add a wallpaper to it? nothing im trying is working

Thanks for the heads up on lightning launcher. Slick so far, but moving items on the homescreen is annoying. :)

while on your home screen, hit the menu button, then Customize and scroll down to wallpaper.
The setup is really different... took me some fiddling to really figure it out.

Always have had good luck with Zeam- very lightweight. Now using Holo on CM7 and very happy with it, also seems to be pretty lightweight.

Trying not to be a GO-fanboy, though I love Go Luancher, Keyboard, Backup, and Chat... Lightning Launcher is soooooooooooo light! i'll have to give it a try for sure. I was never a huge fan of ADW, with Holo I loved some parts and others not so much.
