Root Recovery issue

Yes you couldnt install .2 ota as you didn't have a goldcard


Edit. Yes normally you can download ota with a goldcard. Except .5 no one has got this working yet.

My advice, sit tight for a while until someone works it out. You're not going to install it without help because no one debranded has yet. This us the first update that hasn't worked
 
I can't believe shops are rooting devices and making matters worse by calling it unlocking. Isn't this the third one in a week or so
 
To be fair to the guy at the shop, he did exactly what I asked him to do, which was to get rid of all the branding that was on it. It was fine until the .2 update. From what I can gather, the only thing he did wrong wad to tell me there was no need to create a goldcard.

I think it is. Sounds like they rooted, dazza updated which removed recovery then was confused when it was different.

You can't root without explaining that's what they're doing and how to use it

If he used unrevoked that's overkill. That's like killing a turkey for Christmas dinner with a nuclear missile.

Yes the turkey is dead, which is what you asked for, but he neglected to tell you that you need a radiation suit.to collect it
