Regina 3D Launcher Anyone?

I like it. Seems a little slow and choppy, not quite as responsive as it should be. I really wish I could change out the dock (if I can, I haven't figured it out yet). And the "secret workstation" is a very cool idea.

I tried it yesterday (04/12) and it F/C'd without ever completing. Uninstalled.

My first try at using any launcher (other than stock... lol).

Any suggestions? Something I did ir did not do that ... ?

you've never experienced your DX with anything but the stock launcher?...

you are required to now install LauncherPro, Go Launcher, or ADW...you will have a brand new phone!

Okay...so after several hours with this...i am back to lpp. It started getting very choppy and unresponsive. Even after a battery pull. Fun for a bit though....really liked that secret screen thing though.

Stock blur on gb is amazing too!

GB Blur feels more responsive than LauncherPro, ADW, and Go Launcher.

responsive as in transitioning between home screens? or just in general?...

because flipping through home screens on my X running the stock launcher in Eclair, Froyo, and GB (first leak) has never been as smooth as Launcher Pro...

In finger tracking. At least imo. GB Blur is slightly choppier, though.

Why, for the love of all that's holy, are these launcher developers ignoring the utility of scrollable widgets?

Pretty, but back to LPP for me. I wouldn't mind one of these 3D launchers if they'd let me use my scrollable widgets - the LPP widgets are great, but before Fede introduced them, I bought Pure Messenger which works fine too so I'm not tied to the LPP widgets... just the ability to scroll.

Downloaded and installed Regina. Nice, but no where near as nice as ADW EX I'm currently running. Not enough options. Like being able to set the scrolling and bounce speed of the 3d screens for instance. It's nice that Regina is free, but it seems very light in the pants when compared with ADW EX. I also don't think the 3d portion of Regina looks as nice as SPB shell, but then again I'm not spending $15 to try out SPB either. In any case, maybe Regina gets updated quickly enough to be on par with one of the top dogs like ADW EX. If so, I'll give it another shot.

I'm kind of the same way with Go Launcher and the swipe gestures for the home screens and dock icons. I just feel like I'm downgrading when I try something else and it does not have those features.

Well, tried Regina, and it looks nice, but needs work. Laggy, eats a lot of CPU, and when you long press and then click on Folder, it says that function is coming later. I could use Folder Organizer, but I don't like being teased. Couldn't really figure out how to do a lot of stuff with it either. Anyways, I uninstalled and went back to ADW.Launcher, but I'll keep my eye on Regina, it has potential.

For a free launcher it the best . As far as its 3D it needs work. Kind of choppy when transitioning from one screen to another. I do like that am able to have different wallpaper in each screen no other launcher offers this. For some reason spf shell is slow when transitioning to another screen special if i have many widget on the screen .How ever regina is not but it still choppy .Also the weather widget needs to be fix . I cannot add my city because it wont recognized it.

Regina needs to be able to resize widgets . It needs scrollable widgets . Better transition ( optimized for android).More customizing . Also the weather widget needs to be fix . I cannot add my city because it wont recognized it.When dev fixes all this short comings dev should be able to charge for this app. I think that would be fair.
remember this app is free you cant beat that. yes i have spf shell and i still think i over payed .I cannot resize widget and can not adjust widget where i can put them any where on the screen . on spf shell. For 15.00 it should be able to do this and more .

Im giving it a try for the weekend and see how it goes. Right off it seems a bit short on settings as well as features ive grown to need and enjoy. Id like to be able to adjust the grid density to something tighter as well as resizing widgets. Ive also noticed that it doesnt appear to support scrolling widgets which I use three of on my normal setup. Cant beat the price, lets see how the dev. handles the future. The guy(s) who do GoLauncher have set the standard for support in my book.

Thanks for the heads up on this to the OP.

For being a brand new launcher it is pretty solid. I've been using it for the past couple of days. There are a few things I don't like as of now.

-No scrollable widgets (Big issue)
-No Live Wallpapers (Understandable and not necessary)
-Love the clock, but dislike the fact it has to have weather showing or I''ll be stuck with something that tells me to input city.

-I'm going to keep using it looks like the Dev is making changes and quick to make changes.
-I like the fact the fact there is no grid. You can put widgets or icons anywhere.
