That's about where I was at. I didn't do a pre-order. I kinda thought I might want to just grab one in person it at the Sprint store, since I needed to use my wife's upgrade for my phone. (Don't feel too bad for her; I used mine to upgrade her phone recently. And as someone (sikclown I think?) pointed out, I can just order it online using her upgrade, it comes unactivated, and then I just activate it on my line. Neat!)

And then I remembered I'm still using my Samsung Moment, and said to myself, "pull the trigger, idiot!". :D

Well all this excitement around make me feel sad :o but not that much because i have to wait till Friday but i think it would be ok because today like 5 mins ago, i just received a call from my Sprint Store letting me know that im 3rd in the list of my 3vo and to try to be there first time in the morning to pick it up (my baby :p) it was so exiting to receive that call, it did make me feel that i really care to sprint (:rolleyes: well i already payed the GC for the preorder lol) but i really feel sad that i couldnt order it yesterday night but i think everything would be ok just 3 more days for me of waiting but i feel so good knowing that some of you folks are having it either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow but still tho, before original launch day which i feel its cool to be in this community to read what all of you have to say and feeling part of this BIG HUGE and BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY :cool: full of very nice and great people that make you feel that you count as a individual and as a Android 3vo user :D.

I just got carried away lol :) but i really do appreciated being here and for being my first ever Android phone and my first ever HTC evo phone.

I really give the thanks and support for the creators and users of the forum and LONG LIFE PHANDROID!!

Thank you very much to the people whom make this place possible.. :)..

P.S. if any of you live in Los Angeles i would like to meet them to get along to talk about our 3vo and have some beers, that would be AWESOME!! :D

Friday would be fine since:

1. That was my original plan. Get it from BB on friday and thats why I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago.
2. I won't have to drive over to BB and deal with those clowns. I say clowns because the mobile department at my BB store has a combined IQ of 10. You ask them a question they should know an answer to and they look at you like you are speaking a foreign language. I should, as a customer, not know more about the products you sell.

Oh fudge. On my wifes order the status is now:

Your order or a portion of your order is in backorder status. If you would like to select an alternate product or cancel your backordered item, please call 866-789-8292 between 8:00 a.m. EST to 11:00pm EST Monday to Friday or 9:00 am EST to 9:00 pm EST on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that cancellation request may not always process successfully due to the speed of warehouse processing. If you cancelled your backordered item but still received a shipment, please refuse the shipment or call us to process a return within 30 days of receipt.

Looks like I'm going to be calling them to see how long this backorder is. I may have better luck for that item at the store with my pre-order on the 24th.

Uhh-oh... Now I'm kind of laughing at the Sprint Rep's quote:

That's why I decided to order online because I have a pre-order at my Sprint store and they weren't willing to guarantee I'd get the phone.

I tried calling Sprint and she said that it wasn't in backorder status but then at the end of the call to remember to check online for the order status so it's pretty evident she didn't know what she was talking about.

I'll give it a few hours and see what happens I guess. Won't be cancelling my pre-orders until I have the phones in my hands anyway.
 
I just checked the status of mine and one of those chat boxes popped up with a rep wanting to know if I needed help with the status of my order, I had to give him all the info and he said that it was in the final stages and being prepared to be shipped and could possibly shipped today.

i couldn't get that out of my Shack or Sprint store. I asked my Shack pal and she said, only 4 pre-ordered here. I said, well, I'm coming by at 9 when you open anyway - her reply: "Yes, do that, all of my customers are laughing at needing to commit the $50 up front and I've got a whole lot of people telling me they're coming on Friday. Way, way more than pulled that stunt on me last year for the Evo."

Should be quite interesting. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall and know what Sprint is really doing with inventory.

And they say this ain't like the Evo. Pffft. :p

They said the exact same thing about the Evo 4G. We all know it was hard to get for several months after release.

Thats true but in this case it seems like they had a few set aside just for the early premier sale. After all, when they announced that there will be an early sale for premier customers they also said "while supplies last". I don't take that as anything other than they just had an early sale for who ever was lucky enough to get their order in on time and the rest will just have to wait until friday to get it processed.
 
Glad I saw this post, I decided to call Sprint and told them I am a Premier customer and can I order my EVO 3d now, and they said yes, they also said I may get a headache and nausea from the screen at the beginning, LOL so it is ordered and on its way, should have it on Thursday, Yah baby, my review will follow shortly after. :D
 
Now I'm kinda pissed. I went to the sprint store yesterday to find out if I could infact order the phone today online being a premier customer and I was told no. So I went ahead and pre-ordered, paid the $50 and now I have a giftcard I can't use towards my bill and have to pay the stupid $18 upgrade fee... I would have saved myself some $$$ just ordering it today and probably got it faster. I hate people that don't know what the hell they're talking about.:mad:
