[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

pardon me, but the older it is, the MORE it proves my point. if it was already being called "delayed" internally by VZ a month ago, it is certainly even more delayed now.

Point taken. It just does not add any new information to today's conversation.

When running a rom on my INC with the new sense, I could use activesync on (2) accounts, work (exchange) and gmail set up as exchange. Did not do more than (2).
Sorry to get off topic here, but I set up the email account (only one so far, just testing) but now each time I turn on my phone I need to put in my code. Is there any way around this other than to disable the AS lock on my Exchange server? This is annoying... Oh yeah, CM7 #12

I do not know as we do not use AS lock on our Exchange. My guess is yes.

Well - $1000FF in hex is a lot of dough. :p

You raise an interesting point - the Verizon Bolt page in the entry widget says:

If they're true to their word, everyone who signed up will know ahead of time.
When I signed up for the OG Droid, I ended up getting the email announcement on my Droid several hours after I had bought it.

Thanks. Did some research in the interim and found an app lockpicker that should work. ... oops, only works on Sense. I'll just delete the AS lock on this one server and keep Touchdown for the other accounts.

I just don't feel it's necessary to give them my email address... the only thing you really get out of it is a bunch of Verizon spam

The last email I got from them (besides the one today) was a month ago I believe for the BOGO. They do not spam.

Just because it wasn't announced to the public doesn't mean an announcement was not made within.

That's what I was trying to say with the chicken-egg analogy. No official public announcement has been made by Vzw, but it would seem they 'expected' to have the phone released already. Which would suggest an internal expected release date.

I do not know. I do not get allot of spam in my corp email. I do not think VZW sells your email address. I could be wrong.

At the bottom of their site is says they do not sell your info.

"Verizon Wireless maintains high standards for the protection of privacy over the Internet. Your information will be kept private and will not be sold.

HTC's Thunderbolt landing page has changed. First attachment is the cached page and second attachment is the page I'm now getting.

New information on the HTC TBolt page. The overview section has changed to have the following information:

With this much power, speed and Android awesomeness, it's not your dream phone. It's the one after that.

Infinite entertainment. Download movies, e-books, games, music and more in seconds. Pop out the kickstand, turn up the surround sound and enjoy hours of entertainment on the hi-res 4.3" screen.

Infinite possibilities. With an 8MP camera, LED flash, in-camera effects and a 720p HD camcorder, you can capture every moment in picture-perfect resolution. And with 4G uploads, you can unleash it instantly, for all your friends to see.

Phone screen, meet flatscreen. Built-in DLNA connectivity takes all the music, movies and photos on your phone and beams them wirelessly, right to your flatscreen.

Beyond wireless. Launch a mobile hotspot and just like that, your phone turns into a wireless router, delivering a wi-fi connection and the power of 4G to 5 different devices.

The wait is over. With a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor and the power of Verizon's new 4G network, you can say goodbye to the loading bar. And with the new instant-boot feature, you can say hello, faster than ever before.

Before it just mentioned the 4.3 screen and something else.

They have already started running the htc TBolt helicopter commercial on TNT and not even 3pm yet. Have seen it twice already.
