I dont know why verizon is crippling the phone at launch. Why not enable these features right away? Just doesn't make sense to me but im sure someone is going to come here and jump on my back because im supposedly "hating on their phone"

lol, they must have been watching this forum![]()
Okay... I just changed my mind... I AM GETTING THE THUNDERBOLT... but first, I will get one for my wife's birthday; and then, once it gets rooted, I will get one for myself. This phone is gorgeous, and it's got the 4.3" screen I want. This phone is just awesome!

i wonder if the same incredible trick for hotspot will work?
$350 one yr ?? is that confirmed ? I was thinking it would still be the $70 difference from a 1yr. That is a lot to stomach , I wasn't even liking the idea of $320 haha
and is $15 a month confirmed ?
No no. I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. From my understanding, and I forget where I heard this information (not trying to spread wild rumors, possibly from Black_Man_X), the 1 year for the TB is going to be $100 more instead of $70. He is also guessing a $15 LTE charge. But I haven't seen anything set in stone.
ohh okay, it probably is right everything seems to be getting more expensive lol
the rumor is 250 with a 2 year and 250 with a 1 year and there will be extra 10-15 for LTE data. Nothing is official but you would figure the 10-15 is going to happen. I would have to pay early upgrade fee ontop the 350 too. just have to see what happens

yes my bad, correctedTo clarify, you mean $350 for a 1 year in the first sentence?
I could've sworn on one of the android blogs that they had a document that was figuring $330 for a one year ($80 more than 2 year contract) & a $600 retail cost. I'm sure it wasn't the Best Buy Feb. 14th document, so I'm thinking it would've been in either the simultaneous voice/data over 3G or tbolt won't ship with skype & hotspot documents. But I remember reading that because I was thinking that we finally had an idea of what we'd be paying for 1 year or retail prices.

Unboxing video (doesn't look like finished packaging though ... possibly a review/test unit?)
Props to Maddixny for the link
They should let you upgrade a couple months early if that date is your 2 year contract ending, if that date IS the early date they should do it if its within 30 days of your upgrade. Thats how i got my incredible, i called and they changed it in the computer to 'upgrade available'That being said. My upgrade is on March 25th...is it possible for me to get a new phone before then?
If something goes wrong lets say...after the TB comes out, and my eris dies, do I really have to get a refurb one for one month?? Or do you think they will let me upgrade to the TB?
I concur! And am loving it!!Mike said he powered off the Thunderbolt and showed how is faded to black. Then he said he "powered it on" and it displayed the *Quietly Brilliant* screen and proceeded to the boot-up animation which was very, very cool. I'm convinced this was a complete boot-up!
I'm with you 100%. I could handle the 4g price hike OR the extra 50 dollars, but BOTH!! Really? Is it really worth more than the epic? I know its a better phone, but is it really that much better?I'd love to have this phone. However, I'm starting to second guess the decision to get it due to its $350 one year contract price AND the extra estimated $15 a month tacked on to the bill when I don't even have 4G. An extra $15 doesn't seem like too much, but when I think I'm already paying $30 for data, that would make it $45 just for data. Don't know if I can stomach that just yet. I may just try and hold of for the next gen 3G phones, and try and stay away from the iPhone, though it is somewhat tempting...
