[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

I've pretty much realized that if the tb doesn't come with unlimited 4g, for the price of 3g, I'm not getting it. I'm sure my city will be one of the last to get 4g, so I just can't justify tacking on even more to my phone bill.

i would get the inc2 pr x2. im not even in a area that get 3g this year. the main reason for me to get the thunderbolt would be to get grandfathered in on an unlimited 29.99 plan.

WoW, this tiered data thing looks real...:(
Too bad I really wanted this phone. Tucson is a year out and no way I'm paying more for something I can't use. If they do away with 3G unlimited before the DINC2 comes out, I'll keep what I have and take my five lines with me next March to Sprint. Hopefully the T mobile sprint merger goes through. The DINC2 looks Sweet!

exactly

I just bought an incredible off contract and it is awesome. while I think having the 4.3" screen of the tb would be a little better in helping me text,I've got slightly larger fingers than normal, it would be no reason to pay even more on my phone bill. I'd either get a DX or wait for a new 3g phone to come out.

I hate that I've spent so much time following the tb only come have this revelation, but better now than in 2 months when I'm locked into a contract for how ever long

The memo that was posted that you guys keep speaking of. That was an indirect thing. I guess direct could get something similar but I'm an Indirect store owner and we get that document in our internal system. If you'll notice it mentions "agent supply" which is the indirect channel. That could be why a direct store employee would have no idea about it.

Now having said that. I got one of those documents on March 9th and its still the only one posted for me. My heading at the top is slightly different but the top section that talks about current shortages is exactly the same on mine. Under that I have a section that talks about end of life devices. I DO NOT have the section talking about the Thunderbolt and other upcoming devices. I also find it odd that that section is in a different font or at least size on this leaked document. So while the document is indeed real that section could possibly be photoshopped. It could also be real and maybe a different area of the country included that information in their copy of it.

Also touching on the person that talked to an authorized agent employee and he stated the phone isn't coming this week. There is no way he can no that. They haven't told us that. We generally can only order the devices the day before the release or two days before at the most. We probably wont know anything until its either publicly announced or until the day it shows up on our ordering site. I can tell you its listed on our inventory price sheet with our cost and says Available March.

Elementary, dear Watson! It is because it is fake ;)

Those of you talking about tiered data. I would be totally shocked if that launched with this device. We've received absolutely no communication from Verizon at our stores about anything like that. Not a peep. We actually had a launch training on the Thunderbolt at the end of Feb and were told that it would be the same $29.99 unlimited plan.

That would be amazing! I am not claiming that I have any knowledge on whether or not there will be tiered data, just simply preparing for the worst

1) What non-4G phone would you get that is better than the TBolt?
2) How do you know a non-4G data plan will be cheaper than a 4G data plan?

I don't mention either of those points in my post?

Yeah, I think FrankXS quoted the wrong post.

But I don't think you will see too many (if any) high-end devices on Verizon from here on out, that are not 4G capable.

And to the second point...no one knows what Verizon's data plans will look like for 4G or 3G phones yet. Only time will tell...

hopefully verizon will see that there are quite a few people looking to get the tb not covered under 4g areas. if they say keep unlimited 3g, but add on $5 a month more for like a quarter gig of 4g, I'd be ok with that. if its 10 or more, on top of the 30 already, I'll just have to pass on the tb.

I garuntee they put tiered pricing with the TB verizon wants to make as much as they can there offering a better service so they will make you pay for it no doubt in my mind

Why is HTC playing commercials telling us to get the thunderbolt exclusively at verizon??? Was I sleeping that long......is the thunderbolt out now? Somebody F@#$%& up!!!

If the t-bolt is launching this week and the vzw guys do not know anything about the data plan that would be strong indicator that at least for awhile there will be unlimited plans likely at the same we pay now for 3G. I just don't see them bring the stores up to speed on a new plan in 4 days.

Or it could mean we still have a few weeks till release.

I think it's exactly what it means. I don't see how they're going to launch this new plan and the phone within 5 days. I think everything will be announced Monday or Tuesday and the phone will be out on the 24th.

Lexar 32GB Class 10 microSDHC card and Senhesier bluetooth stereo headphones came in the mail yesterday ... but no TB with which to use them ... :-(

Where are you Thunderbolt? Don't you want to come out and play with these new goodies I got for you?
