So I have an issue. I have been searching for a while now, and I can't seem to find a good answer, or a walkthrough. I want to remove the clock from the notification bar. I have downloaded xUltimate, and have been having trouble getting it running correctly. I'm guessing that because it has been around for a while, people take for granted how to use it, and any useful threads on basic instructions get buried. If anyone could refer me to a thread other than the release thread for xUltimate, I would appreciate it. Also, are there any mods for Fission 2.4.3 that have the clock removed, so that I don't have to go through xUltimate? I don't want to just theme it black, because then I would have a gap on the right side of the notification bar. I tried searching on the website, and on google, and can't find what i'm looking for. I don't know if it's a good idea to use that mod. It will overwrite any improvments/changes made by AngDroid on services.jar.
Maybe ask Fabolous what he modified to remove the clock and then you can apply it to Fission's services.jar (And then let me know what you did to modify it when you are done
)I created a backup and then ran the .zip file. All is good now, it removed that clock, and doesn't seem to have created any ill effects. That last time I used that mod, was with rubix, and it caused my phone to reboot every time that I ended a phone call. The first thing that I did when I got done installing that mod this time around, was to make a call and end it. No reboot. So I guess whatever he did for the clock mod didn't jive with apex...but this seems to be working fine. If there is another way that you know of that would be cool. As for now, it's running fine..no issues.
