I haven't had a problem with alarms- I've gotten the pop-up window each morning to snooze or dismiss...and I like that better than doing the slider!

I had this question too...decided to try it out by setting an alarm to go off while the phone was locked - I couldn't find any way to turn the alarm off. The standard WidgetLocker lock screen came on with no option for silencing via the lock screen (that I could find). Sliding to unlock didn't silence the alarm.
Furthermore (and maybe I just fail at turning off alarms...but then, I've always turned mine off via the Sense slider) I actually couldn't find ANY way to turn off the alarm and ended up restarting my phone to stop the beeping.
So, is there any way to silence (and hopefully snooze) alarms via WidgetLocker?
Yea....well go figure I just tested the alarm and I get the pop up to snooze or dismiss....it wasn't there this morning
I like the pop up better than the slider as well!
I'll edit my post about it not working!
This is not always true however. And easy wake seems to effect the conditions. When the phone's sleeping (blank screen) and the alarm goes off the WidgetLocker screen comes on with no option to dismiss/snooze.
Seeing jbdan's post - and being the last one in the office so I don't annoy anyone with un-stoppable alarms - I played around with it a bit. The problem appears to be if the alarm goes off while the phone is sleeping:
When I have the alarm go off while I'm on the lock screen a pop-up appears that lets me snooze/dismiss. The dismiss option turned off the phone (didn't check snooze).
When the phone's sleeping (blank screen) and the alarm goes off the WidgetLocker screen comes on with no option to dismiss/snooze. At this point you either have to kill the clock process or restart the phone. This is what happens when you use the phone as an alarm clock (as I do).

If anyone is having this problem and doesn't mind testing could you send me an email? I plan on sending out a test build before pushing an update to the Market. I have some beta testers already but it didn't come up before (And I've been able to reproduce it on my Incredible now but it seems to be based on how it is used so the more testers the better).

Is there a way to use the widget locker clock widget from the lock screen on the home screen? I like the clock design![]()

When you switch to Ringer it will ask which mode you want. Since the default is ringer you'll have to switch to something else and then back to Ringer.
I am not sure I am following you here...are you saying that there is no way to edit the custom slider to just switch between ringer and vibrate?
I know I can make the original slider switch only between vibrate and ringer. Seems like there would be a way to edit the custom one to do the same.
Thanks for all the support! You are one of a VERY few developers that listens and helps!
.You can change the custom slider. When creating the custom slider change the right action to something else, then change it back to Ringer Mode. You'll get a popup asking for Silence, Vibrate, Both.
I'm glad to get all the feedback from users. It's a bit overwhelming at times, but it helps me make WidgetLocker better.
Agreed! I'm really happy to see that the dev. is so involved & willing to help us directly here. In fact, when I installed the app this thread is listed as a place to get help. (You can see this by going to Menu > Settings > Tutorial and continuing to the last page.)Having Easy Wake enabled seems to resolve the issue on my phone...nice catch! Thanks for taking the time to essentially turn this into a personal troubleshooting thread.

Switching back to "normal" HTC UI, I don't have the problem at all, its a fluid slide immediately from a wakeup and my home screen pops right up.
I think kevin said he will try to implement this eventually. Several have asked the same thing
Update on my alarm...it worked this morning I haven't done anything different easy wake is OFF. Got the popup to allow me to dismiss or snooze screen stays on during alarm soundoff....nice!
Kevin (or anyone), I am having trouble disabling the home button in the lock screen. I have done as indicated in your FAQ many times, including unchecking the Allow Home Button box, but then the home button still unlocks and when I go back into settings the Allow Home Button is always checked again.
I have tried unchecking the box first, then clearing default home, then setting home application, and then doing these things in different orders.
Thanks in advance!
At this point everything seems to be working pretty well except that when I double-tap the Home Key to launch QuickDesk I get an error stating that "Double Tap won't work properly because your default Home app is not set to QuickDesk". This happens as QuickDesk is, in fact, launching.
I assume this is a problem on QuickDesk's problem? If so, I'll contact that Dev. But I figured I'd ask here first to see if anyone else has run into this and if there is an easy fix.
I have uninstalled this for now. I started getting issues with the last patch where the phone would lag while unlocking. Using the HTC drag-down type unlock deal, it would freeze for about half a second mid-way through the drag. This was forcing me to do the "unlock swipe" two or three times to actually unlock the phone. Really irritatingSwitching back to "normal" HTC UI, I don't have the problem at all, its a fluid slide immediately from a wakeup and my home screen pops right up.
I'm still happy with the purchase as I'm confident there will be polishing and bugfixes and I'll go back to using it.
Incredible, root, default rom, 2.1 etc., nothing else fancy.
the only thing that still doesn't work, of course, is my htc mail widget icon count. i realize this will not ever work, because it's an htc thing. this makes me sad. i've tried before to find a widget/app that just shows the unread count of your mail on the icon like the htc mail icon does, but no luck. if anyone knows of something, please tell me!
