Help Request a Replacement

Call customer service and let them know that way. I had the same issue and Virgin sent me a brand new in box Triumph.

Now I'm not sure what to send back because I have 2 of everything now.

Can I get the number you called because the number on their website has no option allowing me to speak with a rep.

All I did was call 611 from my triumph then wait for the option of troubleshooting and pressed 0 on the dial pad. Then I talked to a person who transferred me to someone else.... Or you can just email Virgin on their website under contact us. Whichever is easier for you haha.

Thanks but I got it. I called the same number I originally called, went through the 'Troubleshooting' option for the third call, cursed at the automated system and got transferred to a rep. Gettin' my replacement in 3-5 days. Hope they send me a brand new one as well, all I'd be returning is the phone with battery and back cover. I'd say the original charger and SD card got damaged.

just email them... they will do the same thing. and you also wont have to worry about not being able to understand the workers with heavy accents. (not meant to be racist, i sometimes have trouble understanding them)

I'm tempted to keep the battery too!

Always good to have a back up :)

Don't they just send a phone and nothing else? No battery cover, usb cable, charger, or battery. Nothing. Just the phone. That's what I thought from what everyone has been saying.

They did before. But I guess they just started sending brand new ones in the box. Maybe they're out of refurbs? Maybe it's easier just to send new ones? Who knows.. I'm not complaining.

Hmm, maybe their trying to clear out their inventory for something then... Hmmm... interesting. Well maybe something is coming then.

It's interesting that the new triumph has the same date on it as my old triumph. Did they make more than they could sell or are they repackaging the returns?

I got mine black Friday and the date on it is 8/11

Seems like they're also getting rid of the Non-Android devices on their Beyond-Talk plans by selling them for $49. I have a feeling they're getting ready for the 4G devices, if Sprint even does get 4G soon like planned.

my phone also had issues charging. i called for a replacement and they said ok! buuut upon further inspection the one year warranty ran out on my triumph (which hasnt even been out a year) and they said issue would be fixed 24-72 hours. 96 hours later im starting to get frustrated because nothing has happened yet, so i just continue calling and complaining and they finally give me tier 3s number who also couldnt do anything about it!! they had to escalate the problem to a higher department and said 24- 72 hours it will be fixed.. called back after 72 hours the lady says, it seems as though everything is ok im going to transfer you to someone so you can file your claim and get your phone. they send me to their asurion insurance company to file a claim. mind you, i have never spent 5 dollars on their phone insurance but when i checked my account, magically five dollars disappeared and i saw i did have phone insurance. i am completely irate right now. how hard is it for them to send me a replacement phone then fix my warranty date later. because everyone knows that the phone hasnt even been out a whole year! im at my wits end, i need my phone for work purposes and havent had one for 2 weeks now because i have to deal with all this.

I emailed them for a replacement (mine keeps rebooting itself over and over ever 5-15 minutes) and they literally just sent one. I emailed on Saturday, they got back to me this morning, I gave them my address, and they sent it out. It's in the mail, complete with a prepaid envelope for me to send the defective unit.

Question, though, should I flash it back to stock rom? Or should I not even give a crap?

Same thing happened with me. Called 2/14/12 for replacement, they said the warranty was up 2/10/12 and that they couldn't do anything. I explained that the phone came out 7/19/11. The lady then saw computer mistake, spoke with her supervisor, wrote a note on my account, and transferred me to the replacements department. 2 days later I had my phone.

Btw, it was the phone itself - no battery, cover, cables, etc. Works/looks brand new!

did you have to wait for them to "resolve the problem" or did they just send you a replacement because they knew they were in the wrong?

If they are telling you that you can't get a replacement because the 1 year warranty up ask to speak with a supervisor or something and resolve it that way.

No. The regular customer service lady put me on hold for a couple of minutes while she spoke with her supervisor. When she came back on the phone, she said she'd notate my account and transfer me to the replacement department. The next guy just asked what the problem was with the phone, and verified my address - I received my phone the next day via overnight delivery for free.

ive already spoken with many supervisors through the 2 weeks this problem has been happening. like i said, i started out calling customer service who eventually transferred me to tier 3 who then escalated the warranty problem to a "higher department" (engineering department, i think.. i asked to get transferred to them but they do not receive phone calls) who has yet to do anything about it. ive been patient, nice, semi angry, and straight mean to them and no matter what they just tell me they cant do anything about it basically. i guess i will call again tomorrow and just demand to get sent to replacement department?

Call them and demand or email them.

So I just recieved my replacement, a brand new, in-box Triumph, now I'm confused with what I have to send back? Just the phone, or phone, battery, and battery cover? I'm keeping the charger and MicroSD card for sure.

Is the touchscreen reliable 100%? Is the GPS lock quick on stock? These seem to be persistent issues that all Triumphs have had, just wondering if the newer ones are better. The manufacture date should be on the back when battery is out.

When I have had to return mine, I just returned the phone body without the battery, cover and SD card.

In other words, I did not return the back cover, the battery, the SD card or any cables.
