Help [RESOLVED] Htc one sv boost mobile ## programming keys not working

do you have the link for instructions/ stock recovery link?

here's a huge download that will give you a stock system

it's 996mb

4.1.2_k2clsystem.img

4.1.2_k2clboot.img

4.1.2_recovery.img

I understand if it takes forever to download but it's the only way to insure your system has not been modified

just download all the files, place then in your fastboot folder

report back once that is done.

OK Great. I will have to download from my home using WIFI as it will be faster as current downloading via my phone's tethering will not get us there. Again I apprecaite all your hard work and due diligence

Expect a reply by 9-10PM est onceI have reached home (from office) and have downloaded and placed the files.
Thanks Again!

not a problem. I'll be ready when you are.

Thanks.Do you need any snapshots of any of my phone screens before we flash the files ( like hboot, stock recovery, settings---> sotware info --> kernel, etc) . Just want to make sure if there is something more installed in this phone which I do not know and your expertise will pull it up and will help us to flash correct files.

nope, we're good. only things I needed to know were/are your phone is boost mobile OneSV (K2_CL)
and you are s-on with bootloader unlocked.

so just let me knew when you have the files downloaded and placed in your fastboot directory.

fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot

ignore all errors, if you receive any it's because the device is s-on, no biggie

fastboot reboot-bootloader

fastboot flash system 4.1.2_k2clsystem.img

fastboot flash recovery 4.1.2_recovery.img

fastboot flash boot 4.1.2_k2clboot.img

fastboot reboot

victory

activate

profit

NOTE: if you want you can change the name of the files your flashing.

I.E.

you can change the 4.1.2_k2clsystem.img

to just plain old

system.img

and the fastboot command would look like this

fastboot flash system system.img

etcetera etcetera etcetera

this can be done with all of the other files also,

I just add the android version#and phone version in front of the img name so I don't get them mixed up with all my other img(s)

let me know how it goes.

I'll still be here when you get here

Thanks for the process.. a couple of clarifications ..
1) Phone should be ON or should be in hboot mode (volume down + Power buttons) ? Of course I am assuming it is connected via USB with debugging enabled
2) Also I just noticed on the HTC splash startup screen it " THIS VERSION IS FOR DEVELOPMENT PURPOSE AND SHOULD BE NOT BE DISTRIBUTED OUTSIDE OF HTC ..........." Does it make any difference to the process we are following?

Thx!

the splash screen with the read text is because of a custom ROM or custom recovery

go ahead and manually bit into bootloader/fastboot mode

power phone off
pull battery, replace battery
hold volume- then power
use volume rocker to navigate to fastboot and press power to select
now should say fastboot usb in red text

and just to clarify connectivity send command
fastboot devices

then continue with the erasing and flashing of system and boot and recovery img(s)

I don't think that's right. I've never seen that on my device and I'm definitely using a custom recovery

yes it's right.

if you have a custom recovery you'll see the red text while booting into recovery and if you havea custom boot.img you'll see the red text while booting into the android OS.

the only time you won't see it is if you
#1 have stock boot.img
or stock recovery.img
or
#2 you have s-off and you've flashed a modified Hboot that had removed the red text.......

if the recovery img is already named 'recovery' than no need to rename it

the command will look like this

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

but answer to question, yes, just quote the post, I'll be here

Hi Russell:
When I am connecting phone in fastboot usb mode, adb devices does not list the phone as the device:

C:\Users\Adnan\Downloads\Fastboot\Fastboot>adb devices
List of devices attached

However when I connect the phone in normal modeL

it does the phone:

C:\Users\Adnan\Downloads\Fastboot\Fastboot>adb devices
List of devices attached
HT34KS701199 device

Is that ok?
