I tried flashing the firmwear cab.file with the KDZ updater but couldn't find a cab.file that would work. I thought I would try to flash a custom recovery, wipe everything, then install a custom ROM. Used ROMTools but it didn't work either(It was functioning fine and followed the directions, even renamed the recovery.img to vrecovery.img). Put the recovery.img and the rest of the images as well as the custom ROM on the root of the sd card using my computer. when it came time to flash the recovery, using command prompts, it said the file could not be found. Double checked and the recovery.img is not in a folder. The sd card must not be mounting at start-up. Anybody have any ideas on how to mount the sd card using command propmts or any other method. Any and all advice would much appreciated.

Well I tried something you shouldn't do:removed and reinserted the sdcard(its the stock 2G card, wasn't using it any way)with the power on and no way to toggle mount, unmount, and it worked. Then used ROMTools to mount system rw,that worked to. On to the next fix:How to flash a custom recovery on a Borked phone. I'm hoping to clean up every thing and start fresh with Harmonnia, or Bumblebee. There's another 2 to 3 weeks of figuring workarounds.(I hate being a "Nuub" sometimes)
