Reviews and Video Thread

Ok guys I can't help but think there is something going on with this phone.

Every sprint or other major phone that has come out in the past has had reviews floating around 7 to 10 days before the release.
One example is the Evo 3d reviews came out June 15th, release date June 24th.
Also my second questions is phones like evo 3d, photon, evo 4g, nexus all had pre-orders from best buy and radio shack like a month in advance. This phone is coming out in 4 days and there is no pre-orders and best buy and radio shack are even saying they are not sure they will be carrying the phone at all.

What do you guys think.
 
I think it had to with the lawsuits from apple. Samsung had to wait and see if they could even ship these phones legally and I think that has held up some reviewers getting them. Expect some videos tomorrow or Wednesday. I wouldn't worry
 
I think you are thinking about it too much. Maybe they aren't worried about preorders because they know they will have plenty. I don't remember a huge preorder for the Epic.
 
I think it's because of all the iPhone hype. I'm not here to argue which phone is better, but I know that a huge majority of people want the iPhone (just because it's an iPhone). I think the Galaxy S2 for Sprint coming out now is just bad timing.. with the iPhone "potentially" coming out sometime in October, I assume most people are going to wait to see what happens.

i highly doubt that the ip5 is going to be a S2 killer. after all the S2 already put a beating on ipad2.
 
maybe not a beating per say, but you know people just like the i-phone because it s an i-phone, so them thinking its coming to sprint...they are already thinking about unlimited plan with sprint..and it really makes them wait..I am not saying by any means that the iphone 5 will be better,but in the eyes of a lot of people they believe they shld wait for the i-phone release...
 
That's if we can find someone that stocks the damn things. I hear Best Buy and Radio Shack don't even know if they're stocking them. I just wanna go down to a store Friday and buy it for crying out loud.
 
Boot up time was amazing, even though he didn't let it finish! Should be fun to look at in person on Friday morning! Although I won't get mine until Monday. Boo! :(

I want to clear up any confusion over litigation from Apple.

There is no pending court injunction or request for injunction from Apple against Samsung in the U.S. Any success Apple has had from enjoining Samsung has been in Europe and then only in regard to the tablet, not the phone.

There was no need to "wait and see" on the part of Samsung. There is no current threat from Apple regarding the Galaxy S II, especially in the U.S.

I hear ya. It's gone both ways for me. I've had good sales reps and bad at the Sprint store.
