I had to force the wife's razr to update, probably just leaving it hanging if people want it. Hers needed factory reset afterwards now it runs like a champ. Nice thing though with ics, after the reset Google actually pushed all the apps back with settings so my suggestion would be accept update wait and let it sync then reset, set up is less painful.

God, I hope the Rezound won't need a factory reset. Takes forever to get the phone back to where I want it.

I keep checking. Nothing yet. With the incredible, after checking for updates with no luck, people had some certain number they called and then restarted the phone to force the update. It worked. I did it. Anything like that for the rezound?

Gruss beat me to it. After a major OTA a factory reset is practically required in my experience.

How to get ready for it? Well google should save the history of apps installed (can't confirm this) and unless you are rooted then you will pretty much lose all app progress (except angry birds, there are back up apps for that)

General phone settings you will need to do over as well. Tons of the menu items and settings will be different with ICS anyway
