*Rezound ICS OTA is live Thread*

I just meant mentally prepare yourself ;) I think Mighty backup works on non rooted phones and may or may not save all your progress in games and such I've never used it non rooted.
I used to swap roms and stuff so much on the dInc and eris i'm just used to it, as long as google pushes my contacts back its all good, the other stuff is just fluff and anything important is already backed up via DRive, dropbox or box.....

Like I mentioned above though it was really pretty painless when I reset the razr, since we accepted the update and she used it for a couple days it was all synced up. When I did the reset and put her google credentials back in it pushed most of the apps back and she really didn't have a whole lot to to do. And the thing runs fantastic after the reset, was super glitchy with horrific battery life after the update.

For rooted phones what backup app is recommended to save all data? I tried titanium backup but it didn't keep the save data, just the app.

Anyone see any sign of the ota yet on their phone?

"My Backup" was the easiest backup program I ever used, but the phone has to be rooted to do the .apk+data. I think there are apps that are made to integrate with it though you'd have to do some digging around. It really is a nice app though, way easier to use than titanium and I never missed anything extra that titanium had.

Me either. It will even freeze bloat! I prefer it.

How to get ready for it? Well google should save the history of apps installed (can't confirm this) and unless you are rooted then you will pretty much lose all app progress (except angry birds, there are back up apps for that)

To clarify (just because I haven't posted anything in a while) Google keeps track of apps that you've *purchased* through the Play Store. If you have free apps (who doesn't?) you will have to hunt those down and reinstall as they won't show up in your Play Store account.

Unless that's changed, in which case *never mind*

It's different now...if you go to "My Apps" in Google Play, you can look up every app that you've installed if you scroll over. It's in the order of when you installed it (not alphabetical), but they're all in there.

Titanium Backup should have an option to save app data as well.

(i got ninja'd)

I have heard people reporting that as soon as they signed into their google account there apps (free ones) just started automatically DL'ing again. Though I much prefer they just save a list

When hooking up my old Eris with CM ROMs, it would download my old apps. But when I installed the June leak on my Rez, it didn't even list my paid apps for me, though it noted them as Purchased once I found them again. What's up with that? Different Market versions?

Good question. Wish I knew what the reason was.... Did the leak have the 'all' tab in 'my apps' to see what all you had ever installed?

Wow, see I never saw it work until the razr/ics, I wiped it signed in and blam here the apps came. When I put the leak on the rezound it didnt do a dang thing.
Your market theory might be right though since the ICS update had play store both before wipe and after?

I think Verizon forgot they even have a phone called the Rezound, and every time HTC bugs them to release ICS, the VZW people just shake their heads and say, "Silly HTC, the Inc 4G already has ICS ..."

I don't understand why we haven't gotten it already if the Incredible 4G has had it for weeks now. . .

So.....does anyone from the Incredible forums remember the "Evan" debacle?

Methinks we might be seeing something similar here.

When we were waiting for GB on the Inc, there was a guy named Evan, who said he worked for VZW, and kept telling us that it was coming. Most of us knew he was full of it, but he persisted.
