A king is taking a tour of his kingdom when he is passing some trees. On the trees, a target is painted, an arrow shot perfectly in each one. The king orders the archer to be brought to him, but when the archer shot at the target like the king told him to, he was rubbish!

How is it possible he shot each arrow perfectly on the trees?
 
Stolen from a book, just remembered as I took my girlfriend to see one of the films of the series yesterday:

First think of the person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,
The middle of the middle and the end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard,
During the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together, and answer me this,

That is a really good riddle!

Guessing big time:
I'm guessing 'Spider' though I only have the letters to 'spydd'
I'm having a hard time thinking of what 'During the search for a hard to find word'..lol. I doubt it's the right answer XD but I won't want to kiss a spider :P

Correct with your guess, I think the hard to find word thing may only be applicable to English speakers as other languages use different sounds I think. Such as apparently manderin chinese speakers say 'Zhege Zhege Zhege' when trying to fill a pause.
