Help Ringtones won't show up as options

I just had to replace my DROID and now none of the ringtones won't show up as options and I can't figure out why. Any suggestions?

Here's what worked on my phone.

On the SD card, create a directory called media and then inside of that create a directory called audio then inside of that create three, ringtones, notifications and alarms. the tree should look like:

\mnt\sdcard\media\audio\alarms
\mnt\sdcard\media\audio\notifications
\mnt\sdcard\media\audio\ringtones.

Plop you sound bytes in the appropriate directories and you should be good to go.

Again, this is what worked for me and I'm sure I found it on this forum somewhere, but can remember where.

Specific location of the subfolders doesn't matter as long as they're named correctly. E.g. my Ringtones folder is directly under the Media folder.

I guess I should add...

I can't remember for sure, but I think it took a reboot to get the OS to scan those directories for new files.

There is probably a way to force it to rescan, but I don't know what it is.
