Performance seems better! But graphical tearing is still present for me. Good job though. Switching back to the 9/29 img until the graphical issues are sorted.
Haven't touched anything that would cause that.

How do you have so much ram free??? im jealous whats your secret??? and is this compatible with the cm9 build?
Yes and it's not how much I have free it's how much more ram that's available to the os.

Its a known issue in ics builds and its kernel related but in all my reading it only says "fixed" doesn't say how it was fixed. I'll keep digging.

Tried to get logs and screen shots. There's nothing discernible in the logs and the screen shot is impossible .

I'm having the same problem. Although side note, YouTube and Facebook are fixed completely with the new kernel and they work fine on my phone

Updating the adreno gpu with the new ics 220 drivers sorts it out.
Mount system and flash in recovery.

Okay thanks. Someone try them out for me. I'll use these in cm9 as well if someone can confirm this fixes the problem

The updated drivers helped. But the issue returned after a while. Do you recall if vsync is enabled on this kernel? If so that could be the issue. While vsync on is awesome for bench marks (and performance if the device can handle it.) It isn't necessarily good for mdpi devices with smaller processors/gpus.

OK can confirm after downloading kernel tuner free from market https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rs.pedjaapps.KernelTuner and disabling vsync the issue suddenly has gone away. Can some other people who are having this issue try this out to confirm? After opening kernel tuner the vsync toggle is in misc.

Again the fix lasted for a bit then it started again. Almost feels like deterioration... grrr , OK what I did notice in developer options that forcing 2G rendering is helping.

Something in the changes after the 9/29 build is what's causing the issue.
