You could try finding gallery in settings > apps and clear cache and data.

I tried that to no effect, thank you. I also deleted thumbnail files I found in the filesystem under DCIM with no effect. It appears the gallery database is not part of the "cache" and must be corrupted somehow within the data portion of the file system. I've had to re-flash a few times without wiping data. Even though the phone appears to have stabilized with a re-flash of the 9/29 AOKP ROM, I may need to perform a complete wipe of system,cache and data and start from scratch and re-flash the 9/29 AOKP ROM once again...

In the meantime, I'll continue to exercise some Bing-fu to find a less drastic solution to fix the gallery, unless someone here posts a solution first. :)

Fixed! Here's what I did:

Select "Media Storage" located at Settings/Apps/All/
Select "Clear data"
Select "OK"
This will force all thumbnails to be refreshed; it can take a while depending on the amount of files.

Make sure you've got a backup of your files beforehand, just in case!!! ;)
 
I don't know if any of these problems have been mentioned, but this is what's going on with my phone.

I flashed the fix you posted a couple of post ago. Not sure if this is the cause, but my lights for the home button, menu, etc won't stop flashing on and off. Like I have a new notification when I don't.

Also, everytime I answer a call, the ringing won't stop. I don't have this problem while making a call.

And I don't know if these apps were made poorly, but apps such are Facebook, YouTube, and the default browser are extremely slow, mostly facebook since it takes 15 minutes literally to load up
 
Just to let the dev know, after flashing the fix my led lights also started flashing even while the phone is asleep. I don't have any lag issues though that seems to be fixed.
 
For those looking for a swype alternative, the Google keyboard works with this ROM. Just run the keyboard setup from the app drawer, not just from settings and gesture typing will work.
 
My bln isn't working at all after the test zip. I am noticing" tears" after its been running for a bit. A reboot typically sorts it. The stock browser is abysmally slow and freezes or at least it is in this particular device. Trying to duplicate things to pull logs.
 
The graphical "tearing" is kernel related. I recalled it from the 4.1.1 update on the Nexus and did some reading to confirm. But if you can live without the bln the 9/29 kernel seems to address the issue.
 
the function "use internal storage" is checked, but my recorder apps doesn't let me to choose the external sd card. It works before. The function "move to sd card" in manage apps doesn't move the apps to the external sd card anymore. Am I doing something wrong or is it the rom ?"
 
Noticed if a message is greater than the 160 character limit, message will not be sent, i.e., messaging will not auto split the text message.

I've mentioned that I've ported this from cm9 but couldn't get to work . I'll work on it tomorrow.

The flashing is because of the bln support isn't working quite well yet and it doesn't disable bln when no longer needed
