Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

Getting my mirror of 2.0 online now. Upload is going slow, I have a large bummer of automated batch conversions running on my home system, I guess CPU intensive apps can slow down network performance?

Keeps failing, I'll try uploading from my spectrum...
 
thanks for the birthday present.. haha ive been running the v5 beta for a couple days and was starting to love it.. downloading this now...

Best antutu score yet on 2.0, 7468 at 1836 MHz, very smooth performance, flashed it this morning and haven't had a reboot yet! Got 2.3.6 before my husband's stock Spectrum, you guys are awesome!:D
 
First off let me just say thank you to mtmichaelson for an amazingly awesome rom for the spectrum which was in serious need of attention as the stock was filled with a lot of useless bloatware. Also want to thank MrB206 for keeping an archive of the unbricking tool for the spectrum on his server. With out that tool I'd still be in deep shiznit with my wife since her phone is one of the unfortunate ones that just randomly reboots sometimes multiple times in a row, no matter what version of this rom is on it. I was able to return her phone to the stock updated rom from lg which it's not rebooting any more but now the navigation app seems to randomly close any app or window she has open on the phone. Thinking about returning the phone for a replacement.

So I have a situation I was hoping someone could help me with.. I'd like to flash my phone with the latest update(2.0) but if I do a complete clean my boss will be pissed at me because of an app called alarm.com that we use to disarm/arm the alarm at work. If I wipe the phone then I'd have to have him re-enter all the user name/password stuff into the app again(he's done it twice already for me). I was wondering if any one knew of a way to recover that info from the app or back up the entire thing so when I restore the app with like Titanium Backup that all the user name/password stuff will be there again.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and thank you all for your time and effort!

You'd be best served to get Titanium backup or ROM toolbox and backup the app. They're worth the money and if you backup app and data, all that info will be saved when you flash the new version and restore the app.
 
You might need to go into the titanium settings, there is a check box that has something to so with app data in there, it is unchecked by default and you may need it checked to get the particular data you are trying to restore... Looking for the button, if I see it I'll drop a screenshot on here.

Titanium Backup is all you need to restore all caches and data to its prior original condition when it was originally backed up. When you flash your new rom and have installed TiBa (Titanium Backup) go to the top and select "Backup/Restore". From there select your alarm application from the list by tapping on it one time only. Then select restore. It will prompt you to restore the app, data, or app + data. If the alarm app is already included on the rom and us the same version then choose "data". If its not, then choose app + data. Once installed it is wise yo reboot.
Now if this needs to be a system app or you need it yo perform as a system app, you have the option as installing the all app as a system app as well with TiBa.

Just wondering when were you coming back over to The Lg Esteem Thread and bring over some of these Cool and Awesome New Tweak over to The Broken Out Esteem Rom???? Espiciallu that Cool True ICS Looking Settings.???!!:confused:(
 
First, I want to THANK YOU for taking the time to fix so many of the things that drove me nuts about this device!!

Second, how can I tell or change the charge MAH? Thanks!
 
V2 seems to be perfect to me. Battery life seems to have finally been nailed.

i left it on over night 1am@ 44% to about 9am was at 32%. :D



new spectrum on the way...mine developed a dead pixel in the middle

My life has increased noticeably with 2.0 undervolting may have some to do with it but the main thing was that there was an unknown wakelock on my kernal keeping it awake all the time. Now it goes to sleep like its supposed to and my batt life is way better than on 1.3.
 
Very smooth and fast rom. Got my best antutu score yet. But bluetooth headset connects but all you hear is poping and cracklng when you receive a call.
 
Anybody having bluetooth pairing problems? I get forced close errors when I try to pair the phone with either of my vehicles both Ford sync and Audi. This was not a problem before I 2.0. I did a factory reset before installing 2.0.

Any ideas?

What were you on before? What was causing the wake lock?

That's the million dollar question. It was random garbage characters, like you get when you don't have the correct language pack installed. Everytime I would go into batterystats to look at it, it had a different bogus name. When using CPUspy I would notice that Deep Sleep was always in the "unused state" and it would park at 384. Now it sleeps pretty much like its supposed to. And it definitively was showing to be a kernal wakelock and not one because of an app so I dunno. I was on 1.3. BrokenOut with Blitz.
 
My bluetooth earpiece has never worked since I bought my spectrum. On stock or the rom. But I don't use bluetooth so haven't stressed it.

I did use the bluetooth file transfer app to transfer a file from my droid charge to my spectrum and that worked fine.
 
Yeah, by BT is all mess up. Just static in my ear piece now.

I have a new F-150 on order and want to be able to use the BT streaming audio. So hopefully we can get this fixed.
 
michael seems to work on this rom a lot with all the updates he's had in just a months time. I'm just waiting on my clock zip. :P He'll get tired of me bringing it up eventually :D
