Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

Do I need to have CWM installed and flashed before I flash this ROM,

...or when I run the .bat will it install a CWM recovery for me to do the nandroid backup first,

Once rooted and CWM installed you need to get a program like ROM manager to boot into it.

Oh and make sure you thank and donate to mtmichaelson and Neph.
 
I did the one touch and just chose, cwm recovery and everything seemed to work fine and it said it was successful. But when I open rom manager to do a backup of my current rom it still says I need to install clockwork mod recovery??I'm confused

Once again, I ask before looking around. I realized I needed to just reboot in recovery and it works. I'm getting there haha
 
Hollywoods14....I did it! I almost freaked out when the opening screen animation played about 15 times in a row! Thanks for all of your help! and thanks to the guys who created this!awesome!

I find launcher pro to be weak and lacking the power and abilities GO has. And if I'm not mistaken i don't think launcher pro has been updated in almost a year. I've tried a bunch of launchers and even bought SPB shell for 15 dollars and ABD for 4 and then tried a bunch of other free launchers and I've yet to find a launcher with the customization and configuration options of GO. If someone knows of a launcher that can do more than please tell me.

I've been using GO for 9 months and they constantly update it and make it better. I've never had a single issue with it in the whole time I've used it and like I said it just keeps getting better and better.
 
Ok, now that I've had a chance to run this for a day, I will say that this is a damn fast rom, but I have a question. Is anyone else having their screen brightness adjust faster then normal? It seems that it's polling the light sensor almost once every 2 seconds at times and this seems to be causing unnecessary battery drain when the screen is on (as well as causing my eyes to strain). Any thoughts on the topic would be appreciated.

I haven't seen this behavior at all. My auto brightness is smooth and doesn't seem to be polling more than normal.
 
Sorry should have specified that I backed up with Titanium and Nandroid. Just unsure how to restore the dictionary from the backups.
 
if you flashed cwm then try booting into it.

Got my phone about ten hours ago and had it rooted with the new rom installed about 6 hours ago. Would have been earlier but i had to go do a few things around town first. Rom is running great so far will let everyone know if I notice any bugs.
 
Do I need to install my 4G SIM card or just make sure that 4G is enabled?
I am using this as a wifi only device.
Havn't even activated it yet.
Probably won't until vzw offers a family share data plan.
Don't need 2 data plans.
The only thing 4G is good for out here is using bluetooth while in airplane mode.

Well, 4G SIM card is still in it's wrapper.
Flash went well. This ROM rocks.

Ya, noticed that yesterday, will have a fix in the next update. Also, I have the dialer voicemail button remapped to Google Voice now and I have the space in the noti bar between battery and gps fixed and both will be in the update. I am going to the mountains for a nice, relaxing weekend, but will have an update early next week!!! Thanks for the feedback!!!

First thing I do on almost any ROM is install MX. Much nicer and the only one that does dual-core hardware decoding (for free).

And that is my fix for it lol. I was just going to replace it with mx lol.
