Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

i never had any problems with this ROM until version 2. the bluetooth sounds horribly garbled to where i can't make anything out. i had to revert to version 1.3

so my old spectrum ran great on v2 few random reboots. new spectrum rebooted a few times after fresh v2 install. today was good till a few hours ago reboot after reboot. removed the CPU set program and so far so good. almost went back to 1.3.

Troubleshooting is your friend! Always think back to what you did right before you started to get reboots. Like me for instance freezinf some apps today which caused me 4 reboots and then unfreezing what a froze before and making the reboots stop.

If you weren't getting reboots from the start right after you flashed the rom then most likely you did something.

i did have reboots off the bat. first minuets. was a bit worried that my replacement lg was shit. last night installed a reman mass air flow sensor and today it crapped out...crap remans...

I was just getting ready to flash this ROM, when I read all the comments about Bluetooth. Does anyone know if it is fixed yet?

Thanks for all your work!

2.0 is fantastic. I don't really use bluetooth, but I can say I've noticed that its snappier and even easier on the battery than 1.3. If you're not concerned about bluetooth, flash it.

wanting to go to this as well but the bluetooth deal is a killer.
I listen to music through my BT using BT mono app as I work in a clean room.

Small issue, not sure if it was covered at all, but Bluetooth is important to me so i opted for v1.3. only issue i've had so far is that when i went to launch AntTek App Manager to freeze some app's the phone crashed. Any info?

What is the house icon with the two green arcs above it? It just showed up randomly tonight. I didn't turn anything on out of the ordinary that I know of.

Blackvirus: I believe that is the media sharing icon.

Trigs: there are plenty of tips in other threads. Try the lagfree governor and using juice defender.

Is there any way to get the app drawer organized similar to stock but customizable?

BTW 2.0 has been running really smoothly since I flashed it after you guys told me how to get all of my stuff backed up. Thanks again for the help! :)

I don't know of a way to get an app drawer like the lg home one that comes with the phone. but I would suggest using go launcher which allows you to create folders in the app drawer which is actually much more organized and functional than lg home is. Also you could get Adw launcher which allows you to create panels in the app drawer that you can label which allows you to place the app you want under certain labels with their own screen.

There's lots of different apps that can be used instead of the app drawer, some organize alphabetically, some by folders.... I've used Organized Drawer, using GoToApp right now, AppMan: Your Apps Organizer has lots of options but I prefer the simplicity of GoToApp. Some have the option to put a folder shortcut on the screen but I find them to be pretty slow and so use Application Folder for that. Takes some time to get it setup but it's worth it, for me anyway!

Running Broken Out 2.0: so far with no issues at all!
I am using Go Launcher, Go Locker, Go Dialer, Camera ICS, etc.
Smooth, no reboots, and clear calls.
My Antutu score is 6,857. How can some of you get over 7,000?
My CPU frequency is showing 1512 on Antutu. I though the kernel was overclocked to 1.8?

This is a great ROM. It got rid of all the bloatware and LG's UI. I did not like how the app drawer was on the original UI at all.

I've had as high as 7400 in antutu and hollywood has had over 7600 running the popcorn kernel. If your cpu is showing up as 1512 in antutu then thats what it is running at.

But you must know that the kernel doesn't come overclocked by default but you need an app to change it. Also you may notice the cpu scales back when you have it plugged in on a charger. So if you run antutu make sure you don't have it plugged in.

can someone help me out? i need help backing up and wiping. I'm new so any help would be appreciated.

As far as backing up your apps just use titanium backup or rom toolbox pro. wiping is done in clockwork mod recovery aka CWM. You can also do a nandroid backup in CWM but I personally never use those even though I've done a few. For me a simple backup and restore done through titanium backup pro or rom toolbox pro has been enough.

If you are not above spending some money for good apps in the market I recommend you buy rom toolbox pro which will give you a backup feature among about 10 or more other features you don't get with titanium backup for the same price. Plus rom toolbox pro looks better.

ok mt I haven't done a fresh rom flash in like a week! whats up man! :P

Do I need to send you more money to get you off your duff!?! jk man! Looking forward to the next update.

I've been noticing problems with auto rotation. Sometimes it won't rotate to horizontal no matter what screen or app I'm in. Usually I can fix it by turning off and on the rotate button in the pulldown menu.

And at this moment I can't fix it by doing that or by changing my preferences in go launcher. Anyone else with a similar issue?

I had it with 2.3.5 a couple times but the auto rotate button always fixed it. I haven't had it since running 2.3.6

Thanks IMUcarmen! I went to ROM Toolbox and noticed that the CPU was set at 1.5. I moved the slider to 1.782 (call me paranoid, but did not want to set it to the max), ran Antutu and got my first over 7000 score!!! I got 7,204...not too shabby at all.

awesome!

Scores will vary from phone to phone and even on the same phone. But anything over 7000 is pretty good.
