Root [ROM]Admiral Beast-CWM

Have a backup of your boot animation? I used rom toolbox and chaned it not knowing it would change but it did! :) so if u do please post

You need Superuser to run rooted apps, and you need to keep the stock browser or else bad things happen.

But if you're using the new Beast ROM you don't have the MetroWeb, you have the Dolphin browser.

You can always due what I do n hide super user with launcher pro ;).

Metro Web is a, memory hog n that's why it was removed.

It's great. it's fully customizable to what buttons you want n how they look.
 
Well, I wandered around the new Rom for a bit, everything seems very smooth and snappy, but, I've been installing and customizing this phone for months, all of which were gone of course, thank goodness for CWM, just flashed back...Thanks for the hard work, maybe will look into applying it at a later date...:cool:

With the ROM i have two Music applications, the one you added and the one that comes with the Admire. Is it possible that I can remove the Music app that came along with the Admire, if so how?

Same thing applies with MetroWeb, I rather just have dolphinHD would it be possible to remove MetroWeb without a problem?

Also do I need to keep superuser installed?

Did you format your data and storage before installing the .zip? If not, try again, Because MetroWeb/ default admire music app shouldnt be there.
Also keep SuperUser, or you wont be able to use root applications. And bad things might happen too..

Also, try pressing the home key. Is it working fine?Go to any app you have installed and then press the home button to see if its working. Not working?

reboot into recovery, wipe your cache/dalvik cache, go to mounts and storage, format data and system. Then install the ROM from sdcard again.

If you followed my instructions you wouldn't have those apps n yes there safe to remove

If you use a backup program such as titanium backup you can back up all your apps N settings N restore them to the new ROM. You then will be where you left off with better performance

The first release was all build.prop n the 3 apks I themed n optimized. This bull build is more in depth. Read the change logs n you'll see what was done

Yea i really liked the power control widget. i downloaded an app thats similar but its just not the same. ill try extended controls from the market and see what see what happens
 
I just flashed this and my data is gone? Not sure what happened but I don't have a data connection, except for WiFi.
I am in my house, and have never had a problem with this.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem? :confused:
 
I had to use the backup from TitaniumBackup I created before I flashed the ROM. The default app is called NewsAndWeather. This ROM also removed the stock Email application :\ I didn't have any luck restoring that from my backup.

The settings.Apk is stock just optimized. You can try pulling the stock settings n see if that works.

This is odd. Odin back to Stock and see if data works then reflash the ROM

Pull it from the system dump like I said to do if anything is missing that you like.

Fyi: k9 mail is much better ;)
 
Does this come with the 3g boost cause my 3g is way slower. I did and had before the 3g boost that someone posted in a thread so im wondering if any ome else has slower speeds than before. Yes i tested it on speedetest app
 
This theme its nice, a little bit of difference from V.1 but still its very good and thank you Mystery for all the hard work you've done and how far you got us. Thank you again.
