Sadly my sd card took a crap on me so im starting fresh and no backup of the voucemail app....but I found some shutdown oggs that ill post if anybody wants them

Some of these are startup or shutdown.....whichever you use it for just rename to poweron.wav or shutdown.ogg they are all either funny or cool..

But if you're using the new Beast ROM you don't have the MetroWeb, you have the Dolphin browser.

Actually in my experience removing a stock browser on metro doesn't harm anything as long as you have a self sufficient browser like dolphin or skyfire.
 
Hey Mystery, I already tweeted you to thank you for the AdmiralBeast ROM, but I figured I would post in here now that I've actually flashed the ROM through CWM.

All I have to say is: Beautiful!

I think this is faster than the stock 2.3.6 update Samsung gave us which is quite surprising. No slowdowns whatsoever. I started gutting the ROM after flashing it to get rid of the stuff I don't care for and restoring my old choices, but this is a great ROM. I love the new font, too.

Obviously, a few bugs here and there - nothing to hinder the phone really though. Here's to hoping that the Power Widget gets fixed, but I will use Extended Controls for now.

Also a question - Does anyone know how to build or modify an existing widget? I love the music player Mystery included, and the widget is really nice too - but I noticed that the widget has enough space where the artist and song title should fit nicely above the buttons. Is that something I have to enable or am I stuck with just the buttons and album art?
 
Gonna do some testing everybody, I know everybody wants the t mobile theme chooser, im gonna put it in the system manually to see if it installs and works. One thing i need to know is if the system files have to be odexed or deodexed?
 
Installed this last night and spent an hour or so getting things to work again but the improvement in speed and responsiveness is very noticeable. My guess is that with everyone making adjustments here and there that this theme will only continue to be improved. Great work guys, thanks for all the hard work and your commitment to the Admire.
 
I was wondering if anyone had some time to teach me a few things about the admire/cwm/admiral beast rom. The admire is my first smart phone which I bought about 4 months ago, and I don't know much about smart phones period. I'm just looking to find someone knowledgable in these areas to chat with on irc/msn.

OK that was a bit scary, but I'm pretty sure I got this rom installed successfully. I am just wondering if this rom needs anything like SETCPU, Voltage Control etc to maximize my processor speed or is it fine the way it is? Also, any available sound tweaks for this rom like that Beats Audio one?

Mystery recommends voltage control. Plus its free :D.

No need.for any CPU apps. There is no oc for the admire at the minute
 
I was trying to change my notification ring tone and I accidentally set the music player as default selection. How do I change it back?
 
Thanks, totally forgot any apps I had installed even if it was on sd card would not be installed >.<. In the process of rebuilding my apps lol. I'll probably go back to File Explorer over the Adao one. It allows you to open zip files and much more.
 
i kind of messed up i thought i had the rom on my sd ard and i wiped the cache and the system only to realize i have no rom on my sd card :/ i bricked it and i have no restore on top of tha my computer wont recognize my admire so i cant put it on the sd can anyone help?? thanks
 
Trash you just spoils dl the rom onto your computer and move it onto your sd and do it that way.

I like the new,rom. I just downloaded widgets for wifi and gps instead of power controls. Only issue I've had is launcher puerto has been force closing occasionally. Other than that really digging the rom. Seems faster and well improved over version 1
