Root [ROM]Admiral Beast-CWM

I waited a few days to post. So far soooo great! I am very pleased. Im a chronic reader (no pun intended) I always watch my phone like a hawk when making changes and I found the script quite funny. In fact it help me relax. I am new to dolphin but soo far loving it all. I too did notice my net lagging alot when not on wifi. However we had a storm brewing so I will try and update anout that when weathrr clears. The boot animation rocks. To all who worked on and helped with all this THANKS.
 
I didnt go through all the post but if we are already running admiral beast and cwm, is there a reason to do all of this? what changes are between this and the other rom?

For one, the original Admiral Beast wasn't a ROM

Read the change log. It will tell you what the rim does and the differences between it and the original

Im seeing the change log but I guess Im tired because Im not seeing where it is directing comparing the difference between the two admiral beast from the other thread to this one?

The ROM had everything from the first version n w/e else I threw at it. The changes r in the change log
 
OK, so I flashed this to my my so called girlfiriend's Admire and there were a few things I had to hunt down to find so I figured I would help some people out.

Copy the Admire-Beast.zip ROM to the SD card.. I usually put it in the root directory so it's easy to find.

You are Rooted already I am sure.. but I really don't think it matters if you are rooted or not once you put Clockwork Mod Recovery on your phone.

You will need the clockword recovery to flash this ROM first before you can install zip from SD card.

You will need Odin (unzip it)

You will need the proper drivers for your phone to get Odin Download mode to work..

FIRST INSTALL THE DRIVERS! :D

Ok to get your phone into Download mode:
1. Power off the phone
2. Remove battery (make sure USB cable is unplugged)
3. After battery is removed put the battery back in.
4. Hold camera button down and plug usb cable back in.
5. Wait 4 seconds (yellow text should pop up) then hit Volume up
You should now be in Download Mode.

Now for ODIN.

Make sure you are in One pack install mode choose the OPS file included with the Odin zip.

Choose the Admire-cwm.zip as the one package installer file and hit start...

Your phone will reboot and you should be fine... go ahead and power it off now.

Now it's time to get to Clockwork Mod Recovery Mode that you have now just installed.

To get your phone in Recovery Mode you will need to hold the power button, the back button and the volume up button while the phone is powered off.. (Make sure your phone is unplugged and has good charge)

Now follow the instructions that are provided in the first post and you are all set!

This post was mainly provided for n00bs (newbies) and people who just don't know how to hunt everything down.. it took me a while to find all the proper files myself and I am not really a n00b anymore. :p

Ran into a problem. My MMS isnt receiving or allowing MMS and it was fine before I installed this rom. I followed the directions exactly for installing. Oh and I did get Adobe Flash Player 11.0 (11.0.1.152) to work on this rom.

Ate you using the stock messenger app. I had issues with handcent even when I was stock
 
Ok so I had a problem after flashing this rom as well.. it started behaving weirdly by opening apps without touching the screen and so I shut the phone down and rebooted.. then after reboot all I got was a blank screen.. the only button to react was power button.. I reinstalled the rom again by doing exactly as 1st post instructions and started again. My girl tool the phone to work today and she is going to tell me how it went today.. I'll keep you all posted.
 
I flashed this over admiral file swap (original admiral beast) and got an attain 4g.
gave admire to my friend and tried switching it to his number. Won't auto switch with *228.
After about an hour I found out it had to be manually programed.
Turns out it kept my old mdn and stuff...

If you are going to flash this keep this in mind, save a headache.

Maybe the devs can look into it.
 
Also having issues with sending MMS, recieving seems just fine under stock messanging. Handcent had issues downloading.

Can not send MMS, either in handcent or stock.

Thoughts and suggestions to fix or is this something that is still buggy.in Admiral Beast?

Read a couple post back. This is actually a admire problem n not a problem due to the ROM. I've had this problem on stock
 
Yeah handsent was always like that, but I've always used stock message for those types of texts, pics seem to work, but other things aren't doing so anymore, soon as I try it says to force close the app. Love the rom btw, everything else seems to be really good
