Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

I am probably going to back up to the 7 . 2 build. Anyone think of any majors things we will lose going back to it in order to regain the working mic?

I just reflashed to 7-2 build and when I hold power to reboot I dont get the additional recovery/bootloader/etc that I used to get when I click reboot. Any way to add these back to the reboot options?

Will there be an angry bean update to address the mic issue? Didn't the 7-2 release have issues with wimax working, if I remember right?

The WiMax issue was with 7/17/2013. The 7/2 with 7/3 kern update has been solid for me compared to other releases.
As far as an update, only the developers can answer that.

I am on the 7/3 kern updated build. It is strange that I can send textmessage out but incoming text messages are not working. Do I need to update my radio or is it another problem, I am on 1.09.00.0706 and I believe there is a newer one....

Still having issues with text. I did the MMS patch and also updated my radio and neither of these resolved my issue. Does anyone else using AngryBean have problems receiving text? Note: I can send text outgoing without any issues, only problem receiving....

I've had MMS issues with Angry Bean, persisting through the last 3 or 4 builds I've flashed... for me it was worse on outgoing messages, which would suddenly start refusing to send without a reboot (or sometimes TWO reboots).

Finally jumped ship to the Angry Unicorns based MumboJumbo ROM and can finally text reliably. I'm using the Angry Bean Gapps, as the MumboJumbo ones have funky colors. I'll probably try the next Angry Bean build if it seems to be well-received.

The latest MumboJumbo build does have some Wimax flakiness, although nowhere near as bad as Angry Bean 7/17. So far it has been better at recovering from spotty coverage, and when Wimax does go on the fritz I can usually recover by toggling airplane mode, whereas with AB 7/17 a reboot seemed to be required every time. Not to mention AB 7/17 hard-crashed quite often, most notably whenever I tried to do anything in Titanium Backup.

Yes. You just have to go into mobile networks to activate. The indicator in the notification doesn't show when you're connected, but you can see it under mobile networks

Been having issues with random reboots since 7/17 build. Sucks to hear about all the mic issues in 8/8. And 4G has never worked well for me with any build (its usually as slow as or slower than 3G). Is the Evo 3D Wild For The Night build any better than Angry Bean? Or should I just jump ship to another non-CM based ROM? MumboJumbo looks good, though I don't care for LG or Touchwiz launcher.

Anyone on 7/2 (7/3 kernel) -- how's your battery life? I'd avoided that build because I thought I'd heard it ran hot, but as it seems to be the best option out of the last 3 builds, I'm now reconsidering.

Also, any MMS/SMS issues with that build?

Draetheus, the launcher never matters to me, since I always install ADW EX as a first order of business. Haven't tried WFTN, but if you wind up going back to a GB ROM, I found Unsenseable to be solid and have good battery life. I couldn't stick with it, though (or Harmonia before that)... Jelly Bean is just so slick, modern and pretty that I always wind up coming back to it and living with the little eccentricities each JB ROM seems to have.

I know the team is working really hard to get officially merged into CM, but could we get a quick update for this rom maybe even if just CM upstream. I have an itchy flashing finger :)

Team? Chairshot215 is only member I know. And he recently took a break from this rom to work on VMOBI rom.
So I will not expect any updates anytime soon.

You can always revert to stock hboot and and stock Rom, then start from scratch. I had to do this once before when cm10 was first released. Also digital high over at xda has a sweet Rom MiuiV5 and I run it on the other evo3d I have

Ok, I just found out. I'm one of the happy people living in LTE area. They just turned wimax off. Yeayy.

Anyway. even with newer kernel google maps flickering.
