[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

You still having issues, LBP said he got you squared away ??
Lol he's helping me right now. Got me squared away with installing everything. Only problem I have now is that all downloads from the market are unsuccessful. He's helping me out with that right now.

Yeah, this is a new issue and I am having trouble connecting to the IRC channel now. They are doing some maintenance so I am stuck.

I told him to clear his cache and Dalvik cache and flash the GApps again. If that did not work, he may have to wipe everything and reflash the ROM and GApps.

Thanks fixed the downloading problem doing full wipe/flash.

For the bigger issues, I just find it is easier to go interactive with helping. If the person wants to thank me or anyone, then they are free to, but it is by no means a requirement. ;)

I always report back with what I did to help out, so others can learn here too. For most of the cases, just doing everything via forum posts is enough anyway.

Yeppers, well done bro, your doing a great job and have become a great asset

on a newly rooted phone without any other roms installed do i need the third file:recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-heroc-20110126-154306.img? if so how do i use it/apply it?

doing the same to my bros phone

Just install ROM Manager on your brother's handset. Then flash ClockworkMod Recovery from that.

You do not need the image file that you have on your microSD card at all. ROM Manager downloads the ClockworkMod Recovery image file and flashes it for you automatically.

Can't figure out how to upload the zip on here, but here's is the link to the circle battery mod for the new release. 2nd post. [ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.3 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [03/14/2011] - Page 1002 - xda-developers

I loaded it and it works great.

sorry for being lazy and not wanting to read through all 613 posts of this thread, but how is this rom looking these days? Im really thinking about taking the plunge from 2.2 up to 2.3. Everything that should work, work? Sorry, the change log is pretty bland with info

This has been my daily rom for over a month. Really no complaints. Everything I use works with no problems. I would say in the month and half I've used it I've had less than 1 0force closes. I love the speed. But everyone's phone is different. So I say nandroid and flash and if its not for you flash back

I just flashed the 3/14 version and had to nandroid back to 3/8... it's vanilla now! I've been so used to everything ADW offered since CM6, I can't go vanilla now. Why the change?

Because AOSP is all about speed, you can always flash CM 7

Yeah, AOSP mentioned long ago that he was going to switch a vanilla only ROM. CyanogenMod 7 is for the bells and whistles. ;)

I do wonder if he will continue work on his non vanilla ROM, or just drop it completely. Oh well, another choice is always good. :D

Just loaded up 3/14 - it is nice! Love vanilla and using ZEAM.
But, I do get reboots after 10 min of using GPS.
Any fixes or hacks to fix this?
Also, I'm not rocking any kernel at the moment, should I?

Back when I used cm6 I flashed kernals all the time because I felt like it was the thing to do and everyone said it helped. Then I decided to just run stock one day and since then I have always felt the stock kernal is just as snappy if not better. I also feel like with some of these roms go designer knows best.

Why can't you download ADW on 3/14? Should be able to use any launcher. I think he has changed which one is included a few times.
