Root [ROM]AplusROM_2.2

This rom is extreme even at high clock speeds. It was worth downgrading to flash! The screen animations are awesome and look even cooler when slowed down with the Spare Parts app.

...anything on the 2.2.1 version yet?

I apologize but, I don't really have the time to invest in this at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to eventually but, right now it's just not feasible (way too much going on in my life). I hope anyone that is on 2.2.1 and was wanting to try this rom out can understand. Most people are all over the CM roms anyway. I will update this thread if there is any change.

Honestly, it's not that hard to downgrade to 2.2, especially if you already have LGNSPT set up. Of course you'll have to change recoveries but you're partitioned with EXT-3 then rooting and flashing a recovery takes less than 5 minutes. If anyone wants to downgrade and needs advice beyond what can be found here on the forums I'd be glad to help out.

Note: I have not attempted to flash CWM to 2.2 and I'm not even sure that it's possible. However, I will try in a few minutes and update this post with results.

Results: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE!!! You'll end up in fastboot with several hours of work to do....lol

can you downgrade a 2.2.1 stock phone? I was under the impression this was not possible...

Unless something changed downgrading from stock 2.2.1 to 2.2 gives you a black screen on boot. I think this is because the difference in video drivers.

When I downgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.2 I got hung up at the android boot animation...I never saw a totally black screen. All I did was reboot the phone into recovery doing a battery pull and using the magic key combo. It did it's thing and once it rebooted I had 2.2. I think that probably happens when the 2.2 TOT file gets corrupted during download. Oh, I also loaded the Common_SCVR 00 file into LGNPST as well when I downgraded

It was stock 2.2.1....First I used LGNPST to totally wipe Cyanogenmod and return to 2.2.1 stock. Then I downgraded, rooted and installed recovery

i really want to try this rom out...but unfortunately im on 2.2.1...and there is just too many other roms for my version to downgrade. Any idea when it will be 2.2.1 compatible?

That's exactly why I made it. I've had this phone since late December and never had a reason to upgrade and no one is making 2.2 ROMs.

And those of us with 2.2 phones appreciate your efforts and hope you will continue your work. I am reflashing Aplus ROM now.

Yo i have a refurbished phone and when i try your rom and as soon as it trys to boot theres a black screen
 wats wrong with it i dont get it yet it my phone boots on other roms

the problem is your phone would have to come out of the box 2.2 it probably came out 2.2.1 this only works if yours came out 2.2...:)

Basicaly, the ROM kernel appears to be incompatible with the screen drivers for that version(LG might have switched Screens with the update) Try flashing a kernel over the ROM thats compatiple with that screen. Wipe dalvik cache and cache partition before flashing.
Which kernel is compatible with the ROM is your guess. Make sure you make a nandroid backup before trying.

LG switched from the use of Novatek screens to Hitachi screens on some Optimus's Don't know what they had/changed on ya'lls phone
