Root [ROM] Axura 2.2.5.5 (by Master -Devs4Android-)

I find it amazing that people who get free ROMs from these devs to make our crappy outta the box Vibrants better are the ones that are complaining and running them outta XDA. Some people just dont know not to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I know what you mean about it being a pain but I've tried them both for extended periods of time and Nerov3 with Voodoo is just soooo smooth and fast. ADW works amazingly well with it also but with all these roms its always a preference.

The screen transition animation in Axura are definitley better but I like the speed and responsiveness of Nero. To me, Axura is just more of an aesthetic upgrade more than anything. Out of all the ROMs, Team whiskey's claim to v3 being the most stable is definitley true. But to each his own

Just to let you know, starting with Axura 2.2.5, Voodoo comes with the ROM's and they are much snappier. With the voodoo i get a quadrant score of 1512...which i dont really care how high it is. Stock it was 917. I just wanted to compare since i dont have any lag now.

As for those complaining....that will always happen. They are taking a chance by customizing their phones but complain anyways when they dont know what they are doing. Those are the people that ruin it for everybody.

Yeah I just flashed the latest one that came with voodoo couple of days ago cause I got bored with Nero's theme. Thats how I came to find out that Masters account was disabled cause I had a couple of questions for him about little issues here and there. Like you already know, the score doesn't really tell you much about performance but regardless, with Nero I'm posting scores at times of anywhere between 1550 and 1600. If you ever get bored with Axura, just give Nero a try. Widgets can always be replaced and when your doing Ti Backup, you might come to find that your restoring apps you don't need and can clean up your system in the meantime.

And people weren't complaining about problems with the builds, some were complaining that he was a theif and claiming other peoples work as his own. It just turned into a mess between him and some from the community, thats why theres speculation that he's not coming back. But thats all it is, speculation.

I've had a few personal dealings with Master, and he is a hell of a nice guy. He works his ass off well in to the wee hours of the morning, on personal requests from people. If anything, people need to be cutting the guy a break. He doesn't have to share any of his work with us.

I agree....what has he done that some others havent? They took a 2.2 dump and made a custom ROM from it. Masters are better than others so he is doing something right. I dont care how they get made, as long as they do.

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I was reading about what happened. None of these devs have to share any of their work with us let alone do it for free. I for one would have returned my Vibrant if it wasn't for any of these teams working their asses off for us to have phone worth anything.

For those of you having issues with super IO, this is my procedure. Boot in to CWM. Choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Then install .zip from SD. Flash your ROM as normal. Then flash super IO, and then flash your modem. After that, clear cache, and go in to advanced, and clear dalvik cache, and fix permissions. Reboot. After you are fully booted in to your new ROM and kernel, turn on airplane mode. Then leave everything alone for about 15 minutes. Reboot, and not the power menu option reboot, I mean shut down completely. Leave off for 10 seconds, and turn back on. After that, everything should be where it is supposed to be.

Note: if you do not flash a new modem, super IO will install JL1.

I installed super IO after a clean install of nero v3, it worked for a while. Then when I went to reset for something else it failed to boot and I ended up having to reflash the rom to fix it.

Did you disable voodoo before flashing? I ran in to a similar problem with Nero V1..... and 2. I have liked all of the Nero ROMs but at some point they always end up failing on me... I'm sure if I left well enough alone, and just flashed and ran every ROM the way they came, I would be fine, but I just can't do that. I have to play with things.

EDIT: I think there may be conflicting script in the JL5 ROMs when using super IO. I think that super IO is based on JK6 and JL1. The framework may have compatibility issues.

I believe it was disabled by default because I was reflashing everything even CWM. But anyway it worked fine upon first boot with super IO till I went to reboot after using it for a few hours.

Hmm... Up until about 4pm yesterday I had been running Nero v3 with super IO without any problems. I'm test driving Heathen's M10 Alpha right now.

I know I keep saying this, but seriously, try out Eugene's super IO kernel. No lagfix needed, if you don't want it. It's fast, and battery life is insane.

I highly doubt its permabricked. I have the stock 2.1 firmware stored on my site though however you can find me on the akaskriller site more.

I have yet to see anyone perma brick a vibrant. That's one thing I will actually give credit to samsung on.
