[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

Others too? May have to reset, can't have my phone going off.

Also, when you turn it down, you know how that icon goes from speaker to vibrating phone to speaker with a line over it?

Does yours ever show the line over it?

Yeah it shows all that. It's just you it seems.

One other person to confirm please before I reset all this?

and stcarlso, is the most updated version the one in the op? Or the one you had up on the last page?

The one on the last page is a graphics test for those crashing while playing games. You are probably better off sticking with the version in the OP unless you have problems with EGL. None of these versions has a sleep-of-death fix yet. I think it's a V/Hz problem but can't be sure without a log.

Ok thanks, going to redownload everything now.

Although as long as my md5 matches I shouldn't bother actually, right?

Can I get someone to try this?

If you take your phone, and using volume buttons turn it up, then turn it down all the way, does the bar go all the way to the beginning? Or one away still?

For me it won't go back all the way where silent and vibrate should be, resulting in my phone ringing even when its on vibrate. Yet if I go into settings I can manually slide it all the way over.

I have the same exact problem. I have to manually slide it down to make sure it is silent.

Mwahaha! Its not just me! Then I'm not going to reflash right now.

I cleared both cache's and wiped permissions.

Shockey, have you reinstalled to see if that helps? And do you get the typical silent icon androids have or it goes back to speaker after vibrate?

I have not re-installed the rom. I have cleared both caches but that didn't work.

So say I have the volume set in the middle with the ringer on. (No icon on status bar, which is normal.)
Now I want to set it to vibrate or silent. I will press the vol down button and I choose between either. I can still hear a sound (a beep) when I click it to go down even when it is on silent or vibrate. The icons on the status bar show either vibrate or silent but it will still ring.

The slider that appears isn't all the way to the left when it says it is on vibrate. When I do move it to the left completely, the status will go to silent or vibrate. And it actually works like normal.

Same for me, except I don't get the silent icon besides the slider, it is the regular loud icon. But it shows the silent icon on the notification bar.

For you it shows silent besides the slider?

Hey guys! I made an account just to say how awesome this ROM is. I only have one issue with it. Just like another user who posted earlier, this ROM lacks the "ethernet" mode required to get debugging to work. As suggested earlier, this ROM can be made to go to ADB mode via the build.prop tweak, but it doesnt open the diagnostic ports required for flashing the phone. I am a PagePlus user, and because of the inability to get into the debugging port, I am unable to reflash the NV Only option required to get it to ignore the missing SIM. If this could be fixed, that would be awesome. I am willing to do any tests needed as well. Thanks!

I know I am a new member and all, but I am no noob to Android development. This is a legitimate question, and I kinda feel it was needlessly ignored. The ADB kinda is a big deal when it comes to alot of stuff on Android, and a fix is needed. I offered to help where I can, I just need someone to take me seriously.

using that updated ROM I'm still getting crashes in games.

Can you please pull a log from the crash (you may need to "adb pull /proc/last_kmsg")? Given all the changes that I've made since the last good log I'd like to get insight on whether the problem is similar or different than before. Oddly enough I've run games for hours without a crash.

Maybe the V/Hz fix will fix both issues. I'll look at that next.

Can you flash NV-related data during CWM recovery (I do not think that CM has those debug serial ports)? I can get ADB to show up in CM10, even when in USB mass storage mode, by going to "Developer options" > "Android debugging". You could also put it into ethernet mode by going to "More..." > "Tethering & portable hotspot" > "USB tethering" and see if it works for you.

Sorry for forgetting about your post, it got pushed off the last page on Tapatalk so I only saw it now.

I don't have this phone but...

ADB should work. I can't imagine a dev releasing a rom where it didn't.

The cdma programming stuff should always be done on a stock rom. It doesn't work on any third party roms that I've seen.

Ill give this a try in a few minutes (I flashed back to stock, so ill have to flash this again)

The slider icon goes between vibrate or a phone but it doesn't have a slash through it. The icons on the notification bar work fine.

Im on the CM ROM right now. Debugging was already checked, so I unchecked and rechecked it. I also tried tethering. None of them start the ADB when I plug the phone in. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Edit: A few things I noticed while poking around. In developer settings, it says I do not have a debug app selected (I have never seen this before). On top of that, I have a device in device manager that only shows up when on CM10 for this phone called "VS840" (the model number of this phone) and it says there are no drivers for it. I have the latest driver package for this phone, and I do not see this device when on stock. These 2 things might have something to do with this.

This sounds like a driver issue. Are the right drivers installed on the PC (link in the FAQ to one of wiisixtyfour's posts)? The message "USB debugging enabled..." doesn't come up unless the drivers are correctly installed.

Yes, I installed those drivers. Those are the exact ones I downloaded anyways. They dont change anything, still have that VS840 device in my unknown devices section due to missing drivers

Try right clicking the VS840 in device manager, selecting "uninstall", unplugging, rebooting, and then reinserting the phone. Sometimes Windows needs help to get new drivers installed.

That worked! The device is now installed. However, it still wont go into debugging mode. No listing in the notification bar, and no listings in the port section on Device Manager. I tried with and without usb internet tethering and simply cant get it to go to debug mode.

Does it work in CWM recovery mode?

Recovery mode allows for ADB, but diagnostics ports required for flashing the phone do not open. I tried this last time I had CM installed on this phone.

Can you flash ZV6 using the unbricker, install CWM, update your NVs, and then switch to CM10? Flashing CM10 won't touch the NV or modem areas so any setting changes made while on stock should be preserved. Flashing the ZV8 baseband shouldn't touch the NV but I don't know enough to make a ruling either way on this one.

Wait, its supposed to be ZV6? I swear I read we are flashing ZV5? Would that make a difference? Ill try it when I get back. Also, I dont know what is happening between the flashes from stock to CM, but my data stops working when I do. I tried setting all the settings via the options in the ROM, but nothing seems to get my data back up and running. Was kinda hoping that I could get it running using a reflash with DFS. Ill post results in about an hour or so.

Edit: Flashed ZV6 and them CM and still not getting those ports to open. Just gonna hang with stock for a bit till this can get cleared up.

I just tried two things to get my phone detected my ADB. I tried the USB Tether, fail, I got out of options and tried USB Mass Storage and nothing. Yes I did turn on Debugging. I went in cmd and did "adb devices", it brung up a list, that was empty meaning that it isn't detected.
I installed the LG Lucid drivers from the LG site, tried the tether, it was a fail. I put it in mass storage...and I got a strange device on my list named "52338c4 device". I did "adb logcat" and I brung up a whole bunch of stuff. I rebooted it, then the SAME device showed up, so I think I got ADB working properly. Did anything go wrong?

EDIT: Don't think anything went wrong, I'm not so good with adb, but this seems to be working properly.
