Root [ROM]Black Plague w/ Plague kernel

I can't remember but I believe metrostudio has an .odex file too....

I get mms on bp 1.0 though... I'm on 1.2 now...I think.... version number really should be amened to the "device info" area.

I couldn't get it to install from the sd card either, but copying the file into the application folder did.

Yes Toke, M studio does have a .odex file. I guess I'm SOL for now. I appreciate the help though. I'll be sending a donation your way in a few days PG.

I have a copy of metro studio in one of my backups on the laptop. Its deodexed. I'll put it in my drop box in a few and put it up for ya.

K more than a couple minutes. I have too many backups lol, this is gonna take a bit. I guess I shouldn't keep 2 Years worth of backups zzz

I'm a total noob so I probably don't have any business rooting my phone & using custom ROMs, but we've all gotta start somewhere right?

I tried flashing this with no luck. I dunno if I'm doing something wrong or not. I'm tapping on the file under the downloads list in the browser and trying to install it from there, but all I'm getting is a notice saying that the app wasn't installed.

I honestly just want to get M studio up and running again. My wife is pregnant with our third daughter and it's high risk. This means a lot of trips to various doctor's offices with our other two kids. It's nice to be able to throw free Disney show up on my phone to keep the kids quiet while we wait.

If I'm doing it wrong, could somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks.

You need your phone to much now to try rooting and new roms. IMHO you should keep it stock out of the box. I would think it would be more reliable.

So far I haven't had any issues with this ROM other than the clock sticking thing, but I do have a functioning backup phone that I can use if needed. I don't plan on doing too much else to this phone though.

Anyway i can get the stock lockscreen or an app with lockscreens similar on this? I'm about to give this Rom another try since i now i have wifi access to download it. First time i flashed i was using 3g Nd got alot of problems.

So i just flashed and as soon as i booted it REbooted and status bar was gone... so i restarted and it came back... but as soon as i went into Play Store and Tried updating Apps it reboooted once again and constantly did so i restored my back-up... What'd i do wrong? I tried reflashing formating and wiping everthing and to no luck it did the same....

hey flakito97, try this. 1st restore your backup and reboot. 2nd get back into recovery and wipe dalvik wipe cache and install rom from zip, do not factory reset as installing the rom automatically does it. 3rd install rom from zip and reboot phone, once it boots up and loads the android system, sdcard etc, reboot phone. Your phone should not reboot anymore. If its still rebooting on you, perform the same steps and with step 2 go ahead and perform the factory reset after wiping cache and dalvik. It works, but then again not all connects are created equally.

edit: ok if you are still having issues, try this.. 1. restore backup and reboot 2. boot into cwm wipe cache/dalvik and factory reset 3. install zip from sdcard and reboot, wait for device to complete first boot and reboot Once again (make sure to skip phone setup wizard) 4. after that, Boot into cwm recovery and perform a factory reset, reboot and problem solved, your phone should not randomly take craps ever again.. This worked for me.

hope this helps.

I dont know if anyone else is having this issue, but I ran this ROM since 1.2 came out with no problems, and all of a sudden my phone started boot-looping. Took me forever but I finally got it to stop, but now every time I try to flash it it just starts rebooting again. Im going to test a stock ZVA rom to see if that does it too. Why the heck would it start doing this?? I even keep it underclocked (1.0Ghz)?

Preciate it bud. Worked like a charm. And i didn't even need TB to restore my apps;)

BUT..... I'm having wifi issues as to were I'm connected but my connection goes off after a few minutes ... and i know it my phone because my sister is connected to the same wifi using her GalaxySII and hers stays connected... aggravating when downloading something or streaming and the connection burns out....

I know i read this on previous pages so i know i am not the only person playfulgod. This rom reboots a ton and i used your Basix rom on my indulge on my phone so i know you do a good job. If i can either one find a way to find a fix or two wait for a fix is mh best bet to having a phone that doesn't reboot a ton.

Black Plague
Excellent ROM very fast i'm really happy with it.I like "CRT Screen Shut-Off"
it reminds me of the Soviet-era tvs we had in Cuba.Great work Sir you have made my LG Connect better. Will donate this Friday to show my appreciation
for your (and team) hard work.

Hey P.G nice rom, pretty snappy. like the new home launcher too, hadn't seen that one yet :) I still get the occasional reboot here and there but it's not so bad when boot time is pretty fast.

I just wanted to drop by and tell you to check this bad boy tablet:
Cube U30GT-H
It's a really bad ass tablet for the price. It's about $230, 10' screen, about 22hrs battery, 1GB ram, Dual-Core Rockchip 3066, Mali 400 Gfx, and ICS out the door in record time after google's release. These guys are on point when it comes to updates, for once. It's also very light. The charger is the only cheap part, super glue the metal prong to the plastic on the connector when you get it ;) (it's not usb). Other than that it's been nothing but a pleasure with a $10 keyboard case.

Almost forgot to mention, there's a W,H and Peas versions. H seems to be the best. I bought mine at aliexpress.com but i've seen em everywhere. I have no info on the Peas version yet.
