Root [ROM] BlueKingdom 1.4 - Updated 9/29

Hello,

I want to report an issue w/ hotspot.

Every single time I try to use it, it will kill my data connection altogether.

I should note that I have installed WiFi tether by Herald M

That's the stock app, if ur paying xtra for tether on ur plan call provider, if not use a market one like Tether Me.

That is an HTC feature and the blue rom has almost every htc feature removed, its supposed to be like open source, not sense. Many apps like that on the play store though if you want something similar
 
Hello to everyone

Hope you guys are having a nice weekend.


I just finished flashing FORGOTTEN BLUE on my wife's EvoD4G, its really nice.

I am a little lost because of all the "new" features and layout of the menus from the system itself, and from the Apex launcher....

... I like it a lot, I'm tempted to switch from Forgotten Kingdom to Forgotten Blue ;)

I would like to respectfully request you consider to change the following:


>>>>Add some way to separate or delimit the keys on the keyboard.

( I haven't the slightest idea how its done so I don't know if its even possible )

Its just a matter of visibility, since some of the keys have extra functions when you long press them it turns a bit confusing to differentiate special functions from regular ones. <<<<<

Is it possible to install some other keyboard from market without messing stuff up?



What JSSA28's recommendations would be?

You can download any keyboard you want from the market !

It won't mess anything up but you will lose the blue colors on the keyboard only, although some market keyboard have nice themes as well,the one included is just the stock jellybean keyboard themed - changing the actual key layout is very hard

I'm about to upload a new full wipe zip with with all the 1.0a fixes included and the themed camera for people who want to install fresh - so if you want to switch just wait about 40 mins for the new zip :D otherwise download 1.0a and the themed camera and flash both

If you are using sense launcher, over time you will like apex a lot better trust me! you can customize so much more, and they use less memory then sense.
 
oh and if liked the stock htc keyboard better with the blue theme I can give you a zip to replace the jellybean keyboard with that - only loss is no other languages but english (check SS in second post for it, it is different then the keyboard in 1.0a zip and you might like the layout better)

I have been trying to change settings on keyboard but I can't change it to look like this:

Is it that I'm just not finding the right menu that allows me to change it?

I'm running the blue themed version. Love this ROM, I have tried many ICS / GB roms for this phone, and this is the first one I feel like sticking with. All the rest had way too much lag. Only problem I'm having is with 4G. Seems to work OK, but there is no indication in the status bar when 4G connection is active. The only way I can tell is that the 3G indicator disappears. The second post mentions that a 4G toggle can be added to the toggle panel - I don't see this. I'm using an Elixir widget for a 4G toggle.

4g statusbar toggle was referring to the power widgets that came installed in apps

Yea no signal for it right now because its not built in the system UI, but I will work on adding it, that's something I want as well its just a little more complicated to add.

p.s. im going to break the blue rom into another thread soon since it will make it less confusing when I update either rom

I have a few bugs to report:



1 - The calendar force closes every single time you select CALENDARS TO DISPLAY and then click on calendars to sync.

2 - Volume for notifications its too low and it won't change even after being adjusted in system settings. ( like text messages or tapatalk messages and such. )

3 - Stock Browser keeps crashing w/ no force close notification or anything. Have tried third party browser(s) and they don't crash abruptly.

This worked for me:
open calendar settings and click on your email address. select whichever calendars you want to display. backout of settings then choose calendars to display from menu. select the calenders again . dont hit the "calendars to display" button, instead exit the calendar and open system settings and sync from there (settings/accounts & sync)

In regards to point No.2

I want to let you know that after a quick reboot through the long press power button menu ....

... I went to system settings, selected my desired volume level and it seems to be working fine now.
